Pastel, a little cafe in a Setiawangsa shop-house.Tacos are also a speciality at Pastel, filled with lamb or beef for RM18 per plate of two.'Texas Burger' with hand-pressed beef patty (RM16); the tacos & burgers come with fries. Perhaps not memorable enough to specifically travel to Setiawangsa for, but probably worthwhile for folks who live or work here.

Our lunch was started with mango salad and tom yam soup. The mango salad was sour due to the green mango and there are some hint of chili padi around it. The mango was crunchy. The tomyam soup was delicious. It was really soup and spicy. It consisted of clams, squid and fish fillet. This dish is a must-order when you dine here. The main dish was the King Rama V fried rice that was...

When I first saw many blogs detailing the great French food at Yeast, I have kept a wish to try the food here one fine day. But it seems the price is quite expensive here till I decided to walk in today to check out the price, when my friend wanted to treat me for my belated birthday lunch. I was bored of Mid Valley that he wanted to go originally.Cappucino-Hazelnut (RM 14) The...

Might be a little tricky to locate them as they don't own a noticeable signboard, so just look for Mac City store, it's hiding at the inside corner. Limited dining space, major for take away purposes. Waiting time can be long, as all the cheese tart are freshly baked, batch by batch. RM7.90 per piece, surprisingly size is bigger than expected. I'm pretty amaze with the superbly cru...

Mumbai Delights, a restaurant serving northern Indian’s vegetarian cuisine, with their specialty being Mumbai's street food open recently at Plaza Mont Kiara. I had the chance to dine there with fellow foodies the other day, and it really gave me a new perception on what Indian dishes have to offer. This stall opens early in the morning and sells out by 8.30 am. They're located outside a kopitiam (Foon Lei) at the corner beside the market. There are no tables so you have to takeaway. Many people even bring their own containers! The basic nasi lemak comes with cockles, potatoes, vege, halved hard boiled egg, ikan bilis and peanuts. However, you may request for more or less of anyt...

I had this Pandan sponge cake with kaya, served with a scoop of ice-cream and mangos as my dessert after my lunch meal. I love sponge cake and having it plain will complete me. Since JP Teres has come out with something different and it was highly recommended, I decided to have one. Although, I would prefer to enjoy one in its original way without any fancy things but with hig...

I have recently discovered this place as i walked randomly for dinner. I must admit that this is the best char kuey teow I've had in town. Being super generous with the ingredients, it has "siu lap" (chinese sausages), cockles, bean sprouts and "zhu you za" (deep fried pork lard) that my friend teased it was fried ingredients instead of fried kuey teow. Bites of heaven for pork love...
My sister ordered this carbonara pasta from Levain. The creamy smell from this meal is very strong, even before they served, i could smell it. The overall presentation is elegant and neat. The pasta creamy sauce is delicious but the bacon is a bit salty. It will be quite bored to finish the whole pasta alone. It's good to end your meal with dessert and have a beautiful ending!
