Watami: Round Two. More potatoes? This pizza topped with potatoes, corn & mentaiko might seem like a nightmare for carb-fearers, but it's far lighter than cheese-laden Italian creations. Featuring a fabulous thin crust & flavorsome toppings, it's a thorough triumph. Yamazaki 12-year malt whiskey & choya umeshu with grapefruit. Mild cocktails: Cassis grapefruit & Milky green tea.

Watami: Round Two. Tonpei-yaki _ a luscious omelet containing beef, cheese & cabbage. Comfort food of the highest order, well stuffed with richly tender meat. Green tea tiramisu. Deliciously creamy, with potent, powdery overtones of matcha. Sumiyaki coffee jelly. Caffeine lovers should enjoy this soft, smooth confection, thanks to its mildly bitter flavor, evocative of freshly roasted beans.

all the sauce in combination with the richly stuff in the middle provided a sweet (from mayonnaise and cabbage), salty(from okonomi-yaki sauce) and buttery (from cheese) combination that was heavenly gratifying moment for me. every bite was soft yet chewy, even the beef sliced.

menu is changed into new one. the highlight point on the menu inside is the every single dish stated with intake calories. it sounds kinda a good news for diet person like me?

This pizza topped with fish, sweet corn and potato. The pizza bread is thin and crispy. It taste a bit like Hawaii pizza but it got the taste of Japanese style food. According to their website, it was established in 1984, Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant is the leading brand under the Watami Group with over 600 shops worldwide. They have restaurants in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Singapore. In terms of service, staff are polite and attentive. Visited the outlet in Pavilion when it was newly opened. The ambience is very nice for a "Casual Restaurant". The interior is certainly very beautiful and nice seating setup. - Interesting & special dish.

[Salmon sashimi roll] - Interesting & special dish. Raw Salmon with cheese and rice wrap. Unique from other Japanese restaurants. In terms of taste, I would rate it normal but credits went to the presentation and innovation.

Scallops lovers would definitely love ths which it is another Watami signature. We had a try of their signature dish which is the Hotate Butter Yaki (牛油焗扇贝) where the oven-baked scallops are being serced together with the shimeji mushrooms on sizzling hot plate, topped with butter. The scallops are well made with the crispiness and the chewy dish to come with it.Price: RM14.90

The portion was huge enough for two. Not only big in piece, the meat was thick, tender and juicy. Having the bottom layer of breaded chicken soaked in the dark sweet sauce and upper layer remaining crispy, slightly coated with egg, every bite was enjoyable.

The picture above is the grilled beef with mixed vegetables or also known as yasai itame which I have no idea what it means. The beef was cut into thin slices and grilled till tender. Although it was juicy and tender strips, the taste was rather too salty for my liking. The vegetables were fresh and helped a bit in offsetting the saltiness.

In my opinion, this place has one of the best service provided for a non hotel or upscale restaurant. The staff are courteous and helpful with the menu and each staff serves you with a smile. The chicken teppan steak comes on a hot plate served with mashed potato, corn and broccoli. The chicken was tender and has a chewy texture which went well with the garlic sauce. There were too much garlic sauce for me and I had to scooped some off as it overpowers the other taste of the dish. The mashed pot

Scallop basically is something that we cook in porridge or soup. At here, their scallop is very big and thick. There are mushrooms in it. You might think that the mushroom taste will killed the scallop taste, actually it is not. The scallop here remains sweet and the mushroom remains sweet. It is best to eat them when they are still hot. Once it's cold, then not nice anymore.

Japanese food has many types of hotpot. This one is one of my favourite. They put everything into the pot and you just need to wait for it to be cooked. The soup might taste a bit salty at first but along the time you cook, the soup will change to sweet taste. Then at the end, the soup will be too sweet to drink. There are so many ingredients in this pot, chicken, clamp, scallop, vege. All this combine into a great hotpot.

This chicken with raw egg beside dish, seriously when it was served in front of me, I don't know how should I eat it. End up I just stirred everything together since the plate is hot plate and I assume it will cook the egg. The chicken taste like teriyaki sauce in it. Then the egg with onions is so nice. But you need to stir it make it like fried onion or else the onion is like raw onion.
