Had our lunch in Choong Foong restaurant. It's located in Kampung Melayu Subang, not tht hard to find. It has ample parking space. Onward to the food, the salted egg squid was so delicious & bursting in flavor and it cost us RM20. The prawns were huge, quite tasty but so so pricey. RM30 for 4 prawns was not cool! The clams were good and it cost us RM20 for that portion. Overall, we were satisfied with our meals but we wish that the prices could be better.

This weekend we have our family dinner in Choong Foong Restaurant, Kampung Baru Subang, Shah Alam. We have ordered a few dishes which is Marmite Sesame Pork Rib, Tau Fu and Seaweed soup.Food served with together with white rice. Food served with together with white rice. The pork rib is full of marmite taste, the sesame is awesome with great appearance and good taste too! The tau fu is cooked together with broccoli, carrots, mushroom. The seaweed soup is awesome where it is cooked together with eggs, seaweed, carrot and pork inside! Yummy delicious dinner tonight!

The environment here is cold and very clean! Good food served!

We, around 10 of us went Choong Foong Restaurant for dinner during weekend. Free parking here with big space. Many people hold wedding dinner over here before! No menu here but staff (seniors) are friendly will recommend you what kind of fish/meat/vege for you to choose and how would like it to be cooked! Food served: Yam with Sotong, Yam with Chicken, half White non-roaster chicken (白斩鸡), steamed Fish (清蒸), prawns (奶油虾), sweet and sour pork (咕鲁肉), yau mak vegetable. Everyone serve with rice! ve

Food served: Yam with Sotong, Yam with Chicken, half White non-roaster chicken (白斩鸡), steamed Fish (清蒸), prawns (奶油虾), sweet and sour pork (咕鲁肉), yau mak vegetable. Everyone serve with rice! very tasty especially the sweet and sour pork, love this cuisine since I was young keke! Yam with sotong cook with sweet lemon sauce! Look, how big is the Sotong there, you will know how Pricey is that dish! Keke!

Overall is clean, crowded and cold environment, you need to wear jacket here. Great and delicious here. However, the steamed fish still need to be improved or we shouldn't request to cook with that way! White non-roaster chicken (白斩鸡)there are red bloody, hmm, not fresh enough huh?

Stir fried baby potato leaves. We ordered a simple stir fried baby potato leaves to balance up the meal. The potatonleaf portion was too little, since potato leaves are quite cheap, they should give us a bigger portion. The potato leaves were quite soft, not too much chrunchiness in it. There were some tint of galic as it was a simoke stir fried style. It was not salty.

Thai Beancurd. The beancurd was covered with big portion of mango shreds, cucumber shreds and peanuts. Since it was named as "thai", the sauce does tasted tanginess in it, slightly spicy but not too much. The mangonwas young ones and sourish. The cucumber shreds were crunchy. The beancurds were smooth in side. Overall, it was an average dish, may consider ordering next time.

Prawn with corn mayonnaise. This is another unique invention from the restuarant: prawn with corn mayo. The gravy was dry and creamy, it stucked to each of the prawns nicely. I tasted the sweetness of corn and the saltiness of mayonnaise from the coating. The prawns were medium sized and it was fesh, succulent. I would say the dish was over priced for just eight pieces of prawns.

Three Flavour Chicken. When the captain recommended this dish, it does sound unique to me as i always heard of "ikan tiga rasa" in malay restaurant, but first time i heard from a chinese restaurant. The dish presentation looks like "butter milk" style to me. The chicken was not so meaty and the coating was sticky. I tasted sime sweetness but not three types if tastes.

The ginger stir-fried venison has generous amount of ginger slices and spring onion slices. It was simple and clear dish, not too oily. The venison slices were tender and juicy, slight salty. The ginger added some ginger-spiciness into it. The spring onion slices added some pungent flavour to the dish. The venison however was too little for the price that we were paying.

Lotus root chicken feet peanutsoupThis is the lotus root chicken feet peanut soup.There are so many soup broth inside this lotus root chicken feet peanut soup.The soup consists of lotus root,chicken feet,peanut and some pork ribs.The soup is so thick and tasty.The lotus root is sosoft because boiled for so long and all the taste goes into the soup.The soup is so sweet and nice.Love this soup.

Spicy & Sour Fish MawThis is really a special dish that recommend by the Restaurant. The fish maw is sliced and fried before cooking. It's cooked with sliced pork, chinese bamboo and the sourish spicy thick sauce. The gravy is really super spicy that it dumb both my lips after eating. The fish maw is quite elastic and sticky too. Not easy to bite off for some thicker ones. This is a rare dish that can hardly find elsewhere.

Spicy & Sour Fish Maw

Braised Tofu with Brocolli The tofu is self-made by their kitchen chef. It is like a half ball size and fried it at the otter layer. Inside are stuffed with cube cutlets of cucumber, vege, mushrooms, prawns etc. The tofu is soaked in the braised gravy with broccoli at the side. Their home made tofu is very smooth but at the bottom inside is not hot. Probably the tofu is pre-cooked and just pour the hot gravy surround it.

Choong Foong Restaurant has a corner of fresh seafood section, where fresh fishes and clams in the aquariums. That day i went saw live farm frog in on of the aquarium too. Order 2 fat one for dinner.Fried frog with Ginger Onions.The frog is really meaty each of the parts. The meat is tender and fresh ''sweet'' too. Dad enjoy the spring onions because the sauce is very nice (入味).

Choong Foong is a Chinese Restaurant at Subang New Village. It's quite popular and most of the people here knows it. The restaurant is huge like a big hall. Many weddings, functions or annual dinners will held here in Choong Foong Restaurant.Belacan Kang Kung There are quite various vegetables here but i just like can't stop not ordering my favorite kang kung vege. The kang kung here is fresh and crunchy at the stick there. Their belacan is really spicy too.

Belacan Kang Kung
There are quite various vegetables here but i just like can't stop not ordering my favorite kang kung vege. The kang kung here is fresh and crunchy at the stick there. Their belacan is really spicy too.
