After a meeting in town, the collegue and myself thought of dining at this restaurant which was nearby the office building we were at. Plus it has been quite some time since we last had some Hakka dishes from there. So, after waiting a little while for a table since it was the lunch hour rush at the time, but we were greeted by a not-so-friendly wait staff before leading us to a table. Maybe because there were many people there but almost all the workers looked incredibly displeased to be working
So, after waiting a little while for a table since it was the lunch hour rush at the time, but we were greeted by a not-so-friendly wait staff before leading us to a table. Maybe because there were many people there but almost all the workers looked incredibly displeased to be working. All except for maybe two, so definitely need to minus points at the service sector.
But we were hungry so we overlooked the bad reception and went straight to ordering. Everything on the menu were things we have tried from home cooking, though we knew the few things we were hungry for.

Though be warned that the prices will surprise you as the portions are only substantial sizes. I do believe that the tastes warrants their rather steep price.
Like this dish, there was a nice layer of melt-in-your-mouth fat on every slice of pork and it's as indulgent as it looked. Thankfully it tasted as good as I remembered.

This however was not as good as the pork belly. Somewhat disappointing as it was lack lustre and really nothing to shout about.

Although the bill came up to over Rm100 at the end of the day, we left the restaurant feeling stuffed to the brim and also in desperate need of a good run on the treadmill. If you are looking for some home cooked hakka flavours then this is the place to go to for your fix.
However, be prepared to pay the rather steep prices.
