The beef tripe soup in Soong Kee was quite nice. The bowl consisted of some beef stomach, beef tenderloin, meat and two beef balls. The star was definitely the beef balls, but the tenderloin deserves a mention too. I saw that the tenderloin was raw, and they simply poured hot soup on top, and it cooked in an instant. Tender and not overly chewy, it melts in the mouth. Definitely recommended.

The beef ball soup in Soong Kee is absolutely delicious. The beef balls were Soong Kee’s speciality, hence we were not expecting anything less. The beef balls were chewy, tender and full of beefy taste. The beef balls were full of mouth bounce, definitely very satisfying. The soup was quite light, and full of MSG as expected, but we slurped everything up. Felt a little bit thirsty after that, but it was fine.

The broiled sawi was also slightly overcooked, hence it was very green, almost to the point of wilting. They probably have to cook this a bit more as the stalk was quite thick. Hence, the leafy part was overcooked, but the stalk was good, still quite crunchy. The best thing is that they put a generous dollop of minced beef on top, which complemented the sawi. The sawi is part of a set, together with the beef noodle. Priced at RM10.80 a set including noodles, vegetables, soup and Chinese tea, it

Never had a chance to go to Lot 10 Hutong since I hardly go downtown KL. One weekend, hubby decided that he needed to visit Low Yat Plaza to get some computer parts, so I managed to wangle a promise from him to go to Lot 10 Hutong for some eats. We went there, and there were many famous stalls offering their wares. We opted for Soong Kee, as they were famous for their beef noodles. The noodles were slightly overcooked I felt. Optically, the noodles look like wan tan noodles, but apparently using different type of flour, hence it wasn’t bouncy like wan tan noodles. There were some minced beef with gravy as well as some sawi in it. Overall, the noodles were just OK, but the minced beef was really good.

This must be my favourite beef noodles in KL. We used to visit the one opposite RHB bank near Masjid Jamek but they have opened a branch at Lot 10. I must say that the taste is SLIGHTLY different but still as awesome! The noodles taste eggy and the mince meat never fail to amaze me. It's full of original flavour which you could not get anywhere else. The tenderloin beef and beef balls were also highlights of the stall. The meat is fresh, tender but tangy. Such a humble dish but heavenly taste at such an affordable price, it is that awesome, the Soong Kee beef noodle.

Soong Kee Beef Noodle is the Best Beef Noodle in town, their HQ at petaling street near to bangkok bank~their famous food also my favorite is their delectable boil beef and beef ball^^ The beef balls are absolutely lovely – smooth in texture yet springy. You could have mistaken it for fish balls if not for the slight hint of beef smell. It tastes slightly salty but nevertheless, very delicious. Generous bowl of beef consomme filled with mixed beef slices, tripe and tendon. Raw beef after a quick hot to medium rare, everything was so tender! its not much adding flavor, their soup of is authentic and simple.

You must try this if you like beef.

The soup was alright, the balls were bouncy and the beef was so smooth that I can just slurp it in. What a satisfaction!

Of course that alone wouldn't be sufficient, I had this noodle, which was like kon lo mee with minced beef and few choy sam as topping. The noodle was cooked well, a little al dente, just how I like it. The minced beef was indeed a necessary go with it.

The minced meat with sauce is so rich and aromatic, I could just eat the noodles with it and nothing else! The soup is also rich in beef flavour, and the beef itself is so silky, I could hardly believe it's beef.

I usually toss the noodles with the minced meat, and throw in some beef balls before gobbling them all up greedily. I would then sip on the soup while I dunk slices of beef into their fresh chili sauce and eat it on its own. I would then wash down everything with the remaining soup, pay, and leave smiling.
