Scallop lover will be excited with this hotate teriyaki. Fresh scallops nicely grilled on skewers, and teriyaki sauce nicely masked any fishy flavour from the scallop if there is any. The texture is great, making this a perfect starter. Chewing on this is really enjoyable. And this serving sells at RM 12 so I supposed it is pretty reasonable.

Ebi Tempura no Gomadare Shitate Pasta is a pasta, topped with sesame sauce with tempura prawns as the main attraction. Pasta here is always al dente and the sesame sauce when served hot is impressively delicious. Fried tempura is good especially when hot. Here, they use got and fresh prawns.

The adegashi tofu is pretty ordinary but I like it because Im a tofu lover. When served hot, the outer layer is so crispy and the mild seasoning lightly brings out the soy flavour of the tofu.Of course, inside the cubes are lovely smoothness. Selling at RM 9, this is a great dish for sharing.

japanese taufu is the best option out of the menu here in pasta zanmai and i like this dining area which is good place to gathering here and just have the comfortable dinner here during weekends. but parking is really hard to find during weekends in midvalley. i try the smooth japanese white taufu. very nice and nutrition meal to try on for dinner here and i like the taste

tempura pasta had two prawnsthe prawns are not that big but their freshthe trick is to eat the tempura as soon as you canbecause the pasta has a little bit of gravy which reminds me of thickened miso sauceso if the prawns stay too long in the sauce it will get soggy and it wouldn't taste nice anymorethe pasta at this restaurant are always cooked al dente so it has a good bite to it

altho pasta zanmai is a japanses restaurantthey have also added a bit of korean influence in their menu with the introduction of kimchi pastait's a soup based pasta so it's like kimchi soup but rather than the normal cabbages you get spaghettii think the chef has reduced the spiciness and sourness of original kimchii soup to make it compatible with the pastait is a very appetizing dish

Omg, this was heavenly! I ate this on an empty stomach for breakfast. This was thinly sliced such that it becomes bite size, easier for me to put the whole thing inside my mouth. You've got to eat this with soy sauce and wasabi to bring out the freshness of the raw fish. Oh, and of course, never forget some lemon juice as well!

This salmon and sashimi California Roll is not too bad. I found that the seaweed used was a bit thick but in terms of taste, it's fine. The sashimi was thinly sliced and the freshness of the raw fish could be enhanced with a sprinkle of lemon juice. I enjoyed the roll because i find that it was pretty cheap for such a huge serving. This was my favourite of the Pasta Zanmai's menu. Many Japanese restaurants usually don't serve the soft shell crab this way, they usually chop it into small pieces and stuff it inside the maki. In my opinion, i like the way Pasta Zanmai serves this such that the whole soft shell crab can be seen because I get to taste the true freshness of the crab this way. Love this so much, the rice is not too starchy, perfect to my liking.

This is one type of Japanese version of pizza that recommended by my friends. Chicken Onsen Tamago Pizza, there was chicken, seaweed, vegetables and a half boiled egg with sauce on top of the think crispy pizza . The sauce gives a little of sweetness to the pizza and it wasn’t too dry as the normal pizza we having due to the hot spring egg on top .
