Deep fried mantao. Since we ordered the spicy and sour crab that has broth in it, we also ordered this deep fried mantao for dipping purposes. The outlook of the mantao does not looked impressive. The skin was brown but not golden brown and it has a layer of oiliness to it. Even though it was deep fried, it was not crispy, a bit soggy I would say. The inner part of it was not too soft.

Steamed scallop. The family was in the mood for scallop, so we ordered this - steamed scallop with glass noodle and topped with mashed ginger as well as spring onions. Well, the ginger taste was there but there was too much glass noodle that was bland and not too soft. This texture spoiled the whole taste. The scallop was not too big despite the expensive price tag.

一直都很喜欢喝上汤啦啦。因为我对贝壳类海鲜里面独有的味道情有独钟。只需要加上少许的盐巴就能把海鲜的鲜味完全给带了出来。里面的啦啦肉不会煮到很老,完全就是刚刚好。

The fried squid here comes with various flavour from oatmeal to salted egg yolk to even western style, but we order the normal fried squid as we had ordered a lot of other heavy flavour dishes. This dish may be one of the simplest dish of all but the key element to make it delicious is the fresh squid that was used. Every bite from the beginning to the eat is crunchy and I like the chilli sauce that came with it for a mild spicy in taste. Best part of the dish, it wasn't oily as expected.

This dish comes with mun tao (chinese plain soft bun) where it is for you to dip into the sauce. The crab is stir fried with chef special chilli sauce and serves with lots of the sauce in the plate. The crab have been 'dissemble' prior to serving for easy consume but you will still have to get your hand dirty to enjoy eating a crab, right? Yet another signature dish from Pantai Seafood, introducing the fried pork knuckle. The pork knuckle is being deep fried until golden brown and serves in bite size portion for easy and convenience dining experience. The knuckle is fried to perfection where the skin is ultra crispy and maintaining the juicy tender meat inside it. I tend to enjoy most of its signature dish here and perhaps you might wanna ask the waiter to recommend if you're new here.

The steamed fish here is just so-so to me. It is rather a simple dish where the fresh fish is being steamed along with chef's special ginger sauce. There's some small amount of tofu to go with, and personally I think the ginger scent it too strong and tend to overwhelm the entire dish. No doubt the meat of the fish is smooth, soft, and sweet, the sauce kinda overtake the whole thing in terms of the taste. The Stir-fried Kailan in Two Varieties is not the typical stir fried kai lan that you would get from elsewhere. This is a combination of stir fried and deep fried and is also one of the signature dish here at Pantai Seafood. The leaves are deep fried and thus creating a very crunchy taste where as the others was just stir fried with chef sauce and serves with dried prawn and fried garlic to give not just some colour to it but also added taste. The claypot tofu is pretty simple here but offer an amazing taste which is different from its look. The homemade tofu is silty, smooth, and soft and melts in your mouth is being stir fried with several types of vegetable and button mushroom where chef's special sauce is added for a stronger aromatic scent. Sad part is that there were more vegetable than the main dish tofu. Thus you might need to plan your dish well when ordering here.

The freshness of the fish was obvious as the texture of steamed grouper was very smooth and soft but not gamy. It was a very simple dish which requires only the quality fish and decent skill of cooking. I liked the soy sauce gravy that accentuated the freshness of the fish meat. Simple yet decent. Overall, fresh but a little expensive.

The texture of bitter gourd was too soggy, topped with semi molten salted egg here and there. I would prefer it less soggy but still retain the soft texture of bitter gourd. It was a little salty due to the salted egg but it went very well with rice. Overall, it was not bad.
