Steam fish, fishy. Vege paku, old. Green curry chicken, could be better. Tomyam soup, dessert ruby and mango sticky rice, nice. Overall, I have no sense of satisfaction to this meal.

Pomelo Salad

The price is less than RM 20 and yet there are so much pomelo inside served with fried shallots, spring onions, a lot of peanuts and a few prawns. The tangy feel makes it a great appetizer.Green Curry Chicken

Am I allowed to repeat the word "one of the best" again? Anyway, people should never be stingy with praises. The chicken is tender whereas the curry has enough flavour and spice without tasting like we have just poured a lot of milk or santan inside that would have diluted it. Luckily it didn't end up tasting like the super creamy green curry chicken I had in Chiang Mai.

Tomyam Seafood

When the tomyam came, I almost fainted looking at the sheer size of the large bowl! It was kind of my first time seeing such a large bowl of tomyam containing seafood inside with big prawns. octopus, fish and thai green beans.

Paku-Pakis

If I were not mistaken, this costs RM 16.90. The paku-pakis were fresh, raw and deliciously cooked with belacan.

Deep-fried Squid

The squid was done just right and goes well with sweet Thai chilli. The squid lacks the crispiness but then it was ok when we were hungry.

The food served in 10 minutes time after we placed our order. I strongly recommend Pandan Cooler, it definitely worth a try. The chill, aromatic and not overly sweet drink surprised me. I like the pandan taste, it's super cooling and refreshing.

Tom Yum is a must in a Thai restaurant. We ordered Tom Yum seafood for 2 pax, costed RM22. It mix with aromatic fresh Thai herbs, the sour and spicy taste match perfectly. It is so addictive. Thumbs up!

Then we have our favourite fried stuff, Gai Tod Gratiam Prik Thai. The cripy chicken is tender, and it doesn't feel greasy or heavy at all. It match well with the fried garlic, really awesome.

I'm a fan for mango sticky rice, therefore I insist to order this dessert. But it taste so so only, I still prefer the combination of salty and sweet taste that I try in Thailand.

Anyway, I like the cafes here as they are located in a residential area. Very quaint, unique and cosy.

This time I come to Elephant Thai, which I have visited once for a birthday lunch after church.

We ordered the Seafood Green Curry (RM 28) which was so amazing. I love the curry here. The prawns, cuttlefish and fried fish fillet, thinly sliced brinjals and chick peas were fantastic, coated in thick curry.

In fact, all the food here is incredible which explains why there is always a crowd here. Moreover, if you come on weekends, you have to wait quite long, almost 30 mins for a table.

The rice is brown rice, which is healthier and makes me less guilty. So from a person who never eat rice for dinner ended up eating rice.

The Fried Chicken pieces were crispy and fragrant yet the meat was tender. It has changed my perspective of fried chicken. It is something  I might order again.

I also ordered the Mango Lemongrass Drink (RM 12.90) which was so fragrant and refreshing and cooling.

This is a great place to eat the best Thai food especially with a big group so that we could try all the varieties. The menu is also very creative with things like pomelo prawn and etc.

The ambience is also great for hanging out with family and friends. The decor is very creative, made of "E" to represent "Elephant".

Tomyam soup + rice lunch set from My elephant. It is just RM 11.90 including a pandan drink, tomyam soup, salad, brown rice and a slide of watermelon. The tomyam is not like common one. It also tastes sour and spicy. But there is a herb inside makes it quite special. It is Nice! There is prawn, sotong and small meats inside. Very worthy!

My Elephant Thai Restaurant is located at Happy Mansion, on the ground floor of the first of three old school apartment. It is just a few block from the Food Foundry, which is famous for it's mille crepe. The restaurant is not facing the main road, so better to us GPS coordinate if you go thee for the first time. They serve set lunch during lunch hour and ala carte during dinner time. We went there during lunch hour to enjoy the set lunch that comes with Pandan Cooler. We have ordered Gaeng Keow Wan Noodle(Green Curry Noodle with Chicken). The noodle used is very stringy, which is a combination with green curry. The curry soup is thick and creamy with coconut milk, which is vert delicious and my all time favourite. We also ordered Tom Yum Noodle, Pad Glapow Noodle and My Elephant Pad Thai. All the food are excellent, with authentic Thai flavour in it. Overall, the set lunch is worth the money as the food is very tasty. Thumb up for this restaurant.

it was crispy till I can eat the shell and still think it tastes nice

Last but not least, rice. My Elephant serves brown rice unlike the usual fragrance rice. Although I do prefer fragrance rice, this wasn't too bad. It is RM3 per pax. Refillable, all you can eat rice. Really worth it! It also helps in minimizing the exciting flavours of the dishes, for those who can't stand flavourful food. Affoadable, taste delicious, worth to order.

Spicy eggplant. I did not take a photo of the menu for this, so I've forgotten what is it called. But it is reallythe best stir-fried eggplant I've eaten. The eggplant wasn't soggy, overcooked or even undercooked. It was simply at the right stage. Its soft and easy to chew yet it maintained its firmness and texture. Truly amazing! RM15 per plate, good portion, taste delicious. 9/10 and highly recommended!

The signature myElephant Tom Yum Soup. Fantastic and really spicy. I personally like spicy food but this was perhaps a little too spicy for me. Although I have to admit that I have not eaten spicy food in a while. It was really exciting. The soup was really flavourful, but I would not say its the best Tom Yum I've drank. The ingredients such as fish, chicken and squid were really fresh.
