I like hawker food more than restaurant food because it taste more local. I purposely come to Hui Sing Hawker Center for their pork stay.
The old-time delights of Kuching.

Pork satay is one of the famous dish in Kuching. It's a dish that I would never miss everytime I went back hometown. For me, pork satay always taste better than chicken, beef or lamb satay. I think it's due to the childhood memories.

This pork satay were marinated perfectly, juicy and soft. The aroma mixed well and you just can't stop to ask for more. I can simply ate 20 sticks alone. With their thick peanut gravy, it tasted even better.
This super juicy and yummy pork satay is my forever favourite.

Besides pork satay, tomato crispy noodle (Kiow Jiap Mee) also a must try dish in Kuching. It's a dish which you can't find it in Peninsular Malaysia. The deep fried local wantan noodles comes with tomato gravy, fish cakes and chicken strips. It tasted a bit sour, simple but appetizing.

We passed by Victory Monument Boat Noodles few weeks ago, but we already had our dinner. However, the waiter still patiently introduced us about their signature. Therefore, we had good impressions towards this shop.
It is located same row with KFC SS2.

Last Saturday, we decided to go there for dinner after badminton. We ordered chicken dry boat noodle, pork boat noodle soup and pork & seafood soup noodle (known as chu yuk fun). Yes, it's a shop that sells thai food but they specially dedicated the chu yuk fun. The boat noodles just so so for me and I not really recommend to go for that. What I would like to highlight is their chu yuk fun. The chu yuk fun available in three types - pork soup noodle (minced pork & pork slices), pork & seafood noodle (minced pork, pork slice, prawn & squid) or seafood noodle (without pork). You may choose mee, meehon, kuey teow or lao shu fen.
Crystal clear soup with generous ingredients. How could you ignore it?

The chu yuk fun has generous ingredients, the minced meat comes in big pieces, it's soft and nice. While the soup comes with cabbages and prawns which makes it tastes sweet and pleasantly good! Besides, unlike other chu yuk fung, the cystal clear soup doesn't feel greasy at all.

Strongly recommend their chu yuk fung to all of you. It's really yummy. You definitely can't miss this.

My friend and I were looking around in Section 17, then we decided to try My Elephant.I heard about it for a long time and I always want to give a try, but only got the chance to step in the restaurant last week.
It's located in the housing area in Section 17 Happy Mansion.

We reached there about 6pm. Seems like they had a lot of bookings, therefore we promised the waiter to finish our dinner before 7pm.

The food served in 10 minutes time after we placed our order. I strongly recommend Pandan Cooler, it definitely worth a try. The chill, aromatic and not overly sweet drink surprised me. I like the pandan taste, it's super cooling and refreshing.
Refreshing drinks with very strong pandan aromas. Thumbs up!

Tom Yum is a must in a Thai restaurant. We ordered Tom Yum seafood for 2 pax, costed RM22. It mix with aromatic fresh Thai herbs, the sour and spicy taste match perfectly. It is so addictive. Thumbs up!
Spicy sour taste perfectly match our taste buds.

Then we have our favourite fried stuff, Gai Tod Gratiam Prik Thai. The cripy chicken is tender, and it doesn't feel greasy or heavy at all. It match well with the fried garlic, really awesome.

I'm a fan for mango sticky rice, therefore I insist to order this dessert. But it taste so so only, I still prefer the combination of salty and sweet taste that I try in Thailand.

Whats the best companion for a working Saturday? It’s definitely great food with great ambiance. Enjoy a peace and quiet afternoon in The Brew Houze located at The Strand, Kota Damansara.

I like their ambiance, earth hues brings out calm, cozy, warm and serenity feeling. That afternoon didn’t have many crowd, we really enjoy our meal.

My collegue ordered ‘Awesome Day’, it comes with sauteed mushroom, scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans and toast bread. I love mushrooms.

I ordered their signature Creamy Chicken & Turkey Bacon Pasta, it is definitely a must try. The springy spaghetti with super creamy sauce really satisfy me. Slurp... I stronggly recommend this super yummy dish to someone who loves creamy spaghetti like me. You definitely can't miss it.
I would definitely pay a second visit just because of their signature pasta. Do check up on their facebook as they will have different promotions from time to time.

If you were looking for something that is delicious and cheap in Midvalley, then you definitely cannot missed out Oasis Food Court portuguese grill fish. Their food came in combo, mostly around RM7.90-RM9.90, rice included. It considered cheap inside the shopping mall.I am a big fan of grilled stingray, therefore it was definitely my choice when comes to the selection of grilled fish. Stingray with sambal sauce is the best companion. The taste is a bit salty, but it’s good. If it can be more spicy, then will be great. Remember to squeeze some lime into the fish, it enhance the flavor.
Perfect match for stingray with petai. Thumbs up!
