Ipoh shredded chicken noodles (kai si hor fun) is something that sounded really plain and dull; but I decided to try some anyway because many of my colleagues were telling me how good it is, with big bulging eyes, like it was nothing that is a real waste to miss. The noodles were so slippery silky smooth, with aromatic soy sauce. Really easy to eat except for the part where I couldn't tear the chicken shreds with my teeth (yes, they need to be further shredded) and end up just swallowing the whole thing.

A price of a plate of noodle is priced at RM5. If you plan to go during lunch, my advise is go earlier as the place has a limited space and people use to share table. So if someone come and ask if anyone seating, remember to tell the truth ya....

Word of advice when eating at this coffee shop, eat as fast as you can and then go off. The ventilation here is nearly non existent and even with fans turned to the max, it felt like being cooked in a hotpot. The lam mee here is quite large portion but the soup lacked the savory factor. There was very little egg in the soup although the broth was thick and gooey. The fu chuk was crispy and I usually dip it in the soup before eating it.

Hidden in a corner of this shop is a stall selling one of my childhood favourite fried pastries. The uncle selling the fried pastry has been doing so for more than 10 years and he used to sell near imbi market before moving his stall to here. The fried nian kao is one the best I've ever tried. The layer of nian kao is stuffed in between a layer of sweet potato and yam before given the deep fried treatment. In Mei Sin Eating shop, there is one Chicken Noodle Stall that is nice to eat. The one place where I like to eat Hor Fun with Steamed Chicken. The Hor Fun was soft and filling. The steamed chicken was slightly shredded and it taste yummy with the black sauce.

There is one fried nian gao at this coffee shop. The differences of this nian gao and others is the nian gao here has yam and potato in it. It is like a 3 in 1 version types of nian gao. So this is not the typical nian gao that you will eat during the chinese new year. The mixture of taste, I would say I prefer the nian gao part more. I find it quite dry for the yam part. But luckily the nian gao is sweet so it is ok for me.

Fried Kuay Teow seems very common but actually to get a good fried kuay teow, requires some hard works too. The fried kuay teow here I would say just pass. Not to say it is very not nice. But it's not that delicious either. It just hit all the minimum requirement to pass the fried kuay teow. The kuay teow seems like lack of the wok hei. The sweetness is there. The crockles are many too.

To find a nice chicken noodle around KL needs to take some effort. Or else only able to go to the mainstream chicken noodle stall. When this noodle served in front of me, I was so happy because the portion is so big. The noodle, the chicken everything is so nice. The chicken is very smooth and the noodle as well. The noodle taste quite sweet too. Most important, the price is very cheap.
