It was a new place at Pavillion.
The picture above is the porky fries from Tom, Dick and Harry. My sister told me that it was her favourite item here and she would order it everytime she visits the place. I took her advice and ordered a plate to share with my friends. The porky fries is actually spam cut into the shape of fries and then deep fried till it has a deep brown color. The taste was rather bland and we enhanced it with chili sauce.
TDH opened its third outpost this week, finally entering the city center with a foray into Pavilion.
This branch looks set to host live band performances to set itself apart from TDH's other outlets in TTDI and Scott Garden. For now though, we wonder whether some customers might voice concerns that the pub plays music a little too loudly by 7 p.m. on a weekday.
Cruel temptation: blackboard menus on the ceiling promise pork knuckles and rib curries. The kitchen however is expected to only start operating next week.
Dick's Margarita (tequila, missing mint leaves, pineapple, lime juice) and Harry's Fling (gin, paraiso lychee, lime juice), RM25 nett each.
TDH will thrive in Pavilion, no doubt about it. The place is small, so expect full-house crowds every evening.
We order some deep-fried food stuff to munch on with some drinks. Each crispy ball is very juicy and quite peppery and salty, meaning that it is highly seasoned. I love the way it is fried into golden brown but it is a bit dry for me, and the salty outer coating is too thick. But the drinks are light, and great for a cooling night.
