The restaurant is located at Lorong Maarof, no difficulty is searching for the location but parking is a problem if is day time as the compound of the big bungalow probably can fit 6 cars or less at one time. We went for dinner thus we just park our car at the roadside. Ordered the Italian Fried Chicken (RM22 for 6pcs), the chickenwing basket came together with some coleslaw and mashed potato (taste ok) and honey mustard as the sauce. It is with great sadness that I bear the news that the chocolate fondant at Cafe Barbera, that used to be over-the-top gorgeously delicious has been reduced to "yeah, it's pretty good". Why?1. The crust is moist instead of turning from crispy-crumbly into melty. It's no fault on its own, but it is a devolution of its former glory.2. Overall texture of the pastry is too soft, used to be a bit crispier (just) on the outer layers.3. What's with the orange slice? Give me back my strawberry! Cutting

这个Prawn Aglio Olio味道清淡得来味道也是很实在的。虽然是没有酱汁的，不过味道很香浓，很够，不过没有什么辣味在里面，上面的虾子也只是有两只。也称不上是Prawn Aglio Olio吧。比较像是普通的Aglio Olio。

这个Rolled Smoked Duck Salad价钱并不便宜，都要RM20不过只有四个。味道很香的烟熏鸭肉片味道真的很香，里面还卷了一些萝卜条还有蔬菜的清脆感。上面还淋上了一些酱汁。味道真的很香，很好。

首先就来一个牛角包作为开头。这里的牛角包一切下去就非常松软，一切下去很清脆的质感就立刻显现出来了。里面吃下去一点都不油腻而且都很新鲜。里面的牛油味道很香，一点也没有负担。

很怕喝到那种没有诚意的蘑菇汤。这个一看上面都是满满的蘑菇碎还有蘑菇汤浑浊的颜色我就立刻放下心头大石。里面真的是充满这蘑菇的碎片，喝起来很实在口也不会很空闲，因为都忙着咀嚼蘑菇碎。配上面包味道很搭配。

看来这里吃的都是走精致的路线，因为份量不是很多，主打的是食材和味道，这个烘干了的面包上面有着一大片肥美的三文鱼，三文鱼不是那种烟熏的，所以味道很轻巧一点都不厚重。

这个看起来份量很小一个啊。只有五个烟熏鸭肉片抱着一些蔬菜。有一点后悔呢味道也是普普通通。那个鸭肉片有很香的烟熏味道，不会太咸，只是作为一个沙拉，里面的蔬菜也太少了。

因为刚吃晚餐的关系，所以我也没点什么正餐。唯一点的就是这道蘑菇汤应酬应酬。这里的蘑菇汤是盛在一个普通的杯子里，虽然份量不多，但是却诚意十足。汤头浓稠得不得了，喝下一口更不得了，满满都是浓稠绵密的蘑菇碎。

这个也是朋友点的salmon aglio olio。虽然我是三文鱼爱好者但是却对煮熟的三文鱼没兴趣。这里的aglio olio另外淋上了caper sauce。可是caper sauce独特的气味并没有掩盖三文鱼所散发的香气和油脂。而且除了辣椒干，还有指天椒。非常开胃！

最近几年好像都很流行独立式洋房改建而成的餐厅。虽然环境美观舒适是一定的了，而且价钱方面也不会便宜。朋友点的这份cream of pumpkin有着很香很浓很绵密的质感。每一口都是浓郁的南瓜香。不过份量太少了，如果能多点的话就一百分了。

We heard about the renovations here back in early December, but let's thank AugustDiners (the newest food bloggers in town!) for the tip that this place is now open for business. As a neighborhood coffee bar, Cafe Barbera has lotsa potential; the pastries are delicious, the service is warm, the ambiance is lovely, and it's open through 11 pm! We enjoyed our previous visit to Cafe Barbera in January, but a more recent stop here for desserts earlier this month turned out to be a misstep, starting with a rather dry carrot cake that seemed to have languished in the chiller for too long. Despite the use of multi grain, it did not compromise on the texture of croissant. It was as lovely as the butter croissant I had the other day, except that instead of the buttery aroma, it was replaced by the smell of oat and sesame. Both croissant came with the coffee syrup which I found it did help to enhance the overall experience of having a croissant. The banana napoleon at Cafe Barbera is a decent departure from my usual chocolate fondant. The puff pastry is ultra fluffy and airy - perhaps too light that there's too little of it (it's like a big pastry balloon). The soft, caramelized bananas inside are what make it nice, when paired with the vanilla ice cream.Incidentally we also ordered the apple napoleon during the same visit, and it was weak compared to the banana because the apples weren't as soft or sweet.
