I've seen this restaurant several times now, especially after finish doing my grocery shopping at Jaya Grocers. But then whenever I walk by I see a lot of people especially during lunch or dinner rush hour which tells me that the food is pretty good. Plus the several hunks of roasted duck and char siew hanging at the glass window always seem to be super delicious but I have yet to try it until recently. 既然这里是烧鸭专卖店，幸好味道总算没有让我失望。外皮还算酥脆，咬下去也有很多肉汁，不过我不喜欢吃鸭肉的原因就是肉质有点应还有纤维很粗，目前为止还没有吃到让我满意的烧鸭。

叫了这个双拼腊味饭，分别是烧肉还有叉烧。叉烧的味道不错，蜜汁味道还好还有的就是给我的叉烧竟然是瘦肉。另外烧肉也是我要说的，外皮不酥脆也没有关系了，就连烧肉该有的腌制味道也不是很浓烈。还有份量很少。

来到这里首先就有送上每天的列汤。今天的就是西洋菜汤。喝下去清清淡淡，还有肉所散发出的清甜味道，肉质的鲜，西洋菜的甜。加上简单的盐巴调味，整个味道旧恨足够了，有家的感觉。

除了烧腊之外，如果吃惯清蒸，干煎等，试一试南瓜炒虾还蛮算新鲜的口味，虾都蛮肉厚鮮美而且每一只都很肥美，口感很弹牙。煎熟虾再后配上南瓜酱炒法，火候很够，虾子非常入味，还蛮健康的因为有南瓜。

除了烧鸭之外，蜜汁叉烧也是这里的一绝。蜜汁叉烧采用的是猪梅肉，这种肉美经少，配合特制的蜜汁，所以一口咬下去肉柔嫩多汁的口感，又不会嚼不烂那种，而且一点也不油膩，和烧鸭可称为绝代双雕。

这里的烧鸭，烧成棕褐色香脆的外皮，外脆内软，一口咬下去肉柔嫩多汁的口感。焦黃的表皮香脆有嚼勁，皮下是一層不油膩的胶质，肉厚而饱滿，配合那里的沾酱吃味道一流，无论是配饭或只吃鸭，两个人吃半只鸭还嫌少呢。

A fresh option for Chinese food at Bangsar Village. This brightly lit outlet features friendly service, but the menu isn't especially exciting and prices seem arbitrary. BBQ combo of char siew, roast duck & siu yoke. Rather expensive at 38 ringgit, considering the relatively paltry portion. Halfway through dinner we decided we still had space for more food, so we settled on some Crispy Aromatic Duck with Pancakes (RM 18.80)! Although this is common back in London, over here it somehow hasn't caught on very well. We also had a a dish of Fried Rice, but this was hardly remarkable. A shame really, considering the high price it cost, it certainly wasn't justified with the morsels of seafood inside. If ever you visit this restaurant, give this a miss and just go for white rice. Save $$ and have a better time mixing white rice with lots of duck sauce. =D Since our first visit, we have never ordered the fried rice again.

And of course, their Special Boneless Roast Duck (RM 34 for half a duck)! Prices of duck at Village Roast Duck aren't cheap by any standards, which is understandable considering the location. Is it worth it? I think it's definitely worth a try! The meat is tender, and the skin is undeniably, unhealthily good. To balance out all the duck we were having, we had the Peking Spare Ribs (RM 22.80) too. These were quite good; Wendy detected some fruity hints in the rib glaze so it was on the sweet side as expected. The meat wasn't chosen very well though; some had lots of meat while other pieces were mostly bone. Overall, another okay dish to have. Recommended if anyone is particularly craving spare ribs / pork!

Village Roast Duck also serves some claypot brinjals. Brinjals are undoubtedly one of Wendy's favourite vegetables so if there's one that looks good we usually have it it! I found this Braised Aubergine with Minced Pork in Hot Pot (RM 16.80) just okay though because the brinjals were a bit too soft and the sauce was a bit too sweet. Nothing to really complain about this, but I can't rave about it either. You can get better versions elsewhere.

Coming up next, was the Stir Fried String Bean with Minced Pork (RM 18.80). Juicy string beans, fried well with a good amount of 'wok hei'. Not too spicy, so this was a crowd-pleaser all round the table of 4. =D Since our first visit there, this has become a regular staple of ours every time we re-visit Village Roast Duck, so it's definitely something we recommend!
