The Gasing branch has been around for ages. Sadly the price just keeps going up. Taste wise it is average at best. There are many other chicken rice joints who serve just as good if not better & cheaper too. Only added benefit would be its air conditioned & has many other food options.Service is inconsistent. Slow, forgetful & at times you will be struggling to get anyone's attention. However on certain days they are fine. I recommend you head to the restaurant down from here called Satellite. M

Well, nothing really particular special about this place. Chicken is nice, tender, and topped with garlic/ginger (both I think). Sauce is salty and very aromatic - goes very well with the chicken (which is normally not very flavourful). Bean sprouts are big and juicy, and similar kinda sauce as teh chicken.Overall it's good, but I don't really see how this plus rice is worth 10 bucks.

What is famous in Ipoh, Malaysia?Yes, chicken rice! I feel so glad that the chicken rice owner from Ipoh opened out several branches in Kuala Lumpur.Came back home to see this on the table, I felt so satisfied. They have their handmade chilli to dip with the chicken, this special chilli is so good that I always asked for extra. Roasted chicken was great and portion was average. Meat was succulent and juicy.

Pork Meat Balls. The meat balls came in a bowl of soup sprinkled with spring onions. The soup was quite oily and salty, as such I did not drink second sip. The meat balls were big, bigger than other restaurants' meat balls. It was solid and compact in texture. They were not so salty, just nice. The texture was springy. After eating one piece, it was quite filling already.

Old Cucumber Soup ("Loh wong kua"). Normally we will just settle with chicken rice or noodles. That day, dad felt like having some soup apart from the complimentary chicken soup, he ordered a boiled old cucumber soup. It came with two big pieces of old cucumber and it was soft. The essence of the old cucumber had gone to the soup, the soup tasted slightly salty, and it was good.

Beansprout. Since there was some vegetables (i.e cucumber) that came along with the chicken, I would still ordered the beansprouts. I made the wrong decision to add on this side dish as it was really tasty. The beansprouts were fat and juicy (yes, juicy!). The spring onions and the chili added further omph to this bland beansprouts. The soy sauce gave it a saltiness.

Roast chicken. The chicken was being put on top of a bed of cucumber slices and topped with some ginger paste. The soy sauce was not too oily and it added some saltiness to the chicken. The cucumber slices were crunchy. The roast chicken was smooth and the golden brown skin was tasty. I love the mashed ginger paste on top of the chicken and I wish they could give more of these.

Chicken Hor Fun. This noodle was simple, it came with chicken slices and vegetables. All the chicken slices were without the skin and thickly cut. It was slightly rough texture, not the smooth one. The broth was slightly salty and a tad flavour of the spring onions. The hor fun was soft. The vegetables were normal. This was just an average dish and nothing to shout about.

The shop is pretty big and it's surrounded by parking but it can be tough finding a spot sometimes. Seatings are available inside and on the corridor.Rice (RM 1.60/plate) here is just LOVE! Very fragrant and flavourful unlike some shops which use normal white rice with soy sauce and try to pass it as chicken rice.Bean sprouts (RM 2) were fat and juicy but the chef was too generous with the salty soy sauce. Provided soup was very heavy with taste (can be mistaken as salty) and I didn't quite like

The restaurant operates a two-shoplot premises and ample parking space during weekends. The floor of the restaurant was quite slippery and the seating was spacious. The steamed chicken was topped with some minced garlic and ginger. The chicken was tender and quite meaty. The saltiness was fine. The minced garlic and ginger was the addictive ones, I do wish they could give me more of these. The soy sauce added a tinge of sweetness to the rice. The oil rice was fragrant with pandan smell.
