Pick what you want

Their main products are Yong Tau Foo, Chee Cheong Fun, and Silver needle noodle or more popular known as "Lou Shu Fan" and also Steamboat which I presumed is served at night.

One basically choose their pieces of Yong Tau Foo, and upon passed on to their staff, they will be either fried, or boiled fresh, and will be served with soup.I liked how they put aside the fried items, from the soup, so that they are not too soggy when one is ready to eat.

Just look at their mouthwatering spead of Yong Tau Foo, which although same may be same as what other outlets offer for example beancurd, chilli, bittergourd, brinjal etc, but their offerings has many that I don't usually see offered by others.

I wish I could choose them all..

The paste they used to fill the Yong Tau Foo items has just the right texture, which suggest the freshness of meat used. How happy was my stomach to have all this delicious food that afternoon.

Can't wait to start eating..

We ordered the prawn wanton separately, with minimum order of 5 pcs. The beancurd skin thickness was just right, and were fried till really crispy. Each of them were filled with lots of paste within and even yummier when I get to chew on big size of prawns within.

Fried Prawn Dumpling (5pcs). Price-RM11.50

The Chee Cheong Fun has a smooth texture, and makes me want more. Topped with some fried dried shrimps which was so crispy, it lends much fragrance to the plate of chee cheong fun. The sauce also tasted good, and cooked till just nice, not too thick, nor watery.

Sweet Sauce Chee Cheung Fun with Dried Shrimp. Price-RM2.50

I took some of my buddy's Lou Shu Fan with curry to try. This will definitely be a favorite to the curry lovers, as the curry carries tasted so rich, and was aromatic. Yumms! If only I had double my stomach space to take this in... Hehe...

Curry Minced Pork Lou Shu Fen. Price-RM4

Bills are lumped into one total amount for food, with no detailed itemization, but yup, gauging at how hungry we were and the fact that we did over ordered, we paid a total of RM52 including drink.

We ended up here after trying to locate a different shop in Pudu. It was super crowded which is the only downside as it takes quite some time to get hold of a table. All fresh, springy & yummy. Plus the usual foo chuk, taufoo & variety of meatballs. The fried pig intestines is a must try. Something that you can't find often.

Service is fast & attentive. Turnover is quick so the wait isn't that bad. Cleanliness is decent enough. Definitely recommended to all who love yong tau foo & chee cheong fun.

My friend kept harping about the Pudu Chee Cheong Fan so in the end, I finally give up and said ok, let's go since I am on leave and I would be going to that area for CNY shopping. The Yong Tau Foo was so tasty that I ordered second time. I love the smooth tofu, fresh ladies fingers, super soft fishballs. The best part is that it is not the typical KL type sweet sauce Yong Tau Foo. The ladies fingers was quite soft too. I felt like eating the cuttlefish but the shop do not allow me to have smaller piece of the cuttlefish but I had to order the entire thing. I totally like the foo chuk with fat long beans which was so tasty and crunchy and juicy.

The homecooked chrysanthemum drinks were not sweet and was done the way I like it.

Jalan Pudu has always some surprise nice great food, whether in hawkers or small shops. Yap Hup Kee serves a great curry chee cheong funn. Really mouthwatering with its creamy curry, not too thick and can drink the whole bowl of soup to mirror the bowl.. or plate.. tee hee. Its garnish with fried onion and very aromatic. The fried yong tau foo also has a nice texture, deep fried into perfection and the fish paste is very seasoned and great taste.
