As much as this shop doesn't hold a signboard outside the shop, they definitely still have their loyal customers visiting.

The noodle soup tasted exactly the same as how I tasted years ago. Quality is maintained.

I love their tasty noodle soup, and it has the natural sweetness to it. I love their fishballs which its freshness is surely apparent, and the texture was extremely bouncy.

I had a very lousy experience. When we reached for lunch, it was only 3 tables occupied. Ours was the 3rd table at that time, and when the staff came carrying his device to take order, he was in so much hurry for us to order. When we asked for recommendation what noodle is good, he basically list us all they offer. And when ask what other dish is nice, he just random tell us what they sell. Fail to recommend. His body language was showing that he is so impatient, and makes us feel really pressured to order.

From all the food that we ordered, really, nothing tasted terrific. All was just normal. Thank god we dropped by on the way back from JB. If we travelled all the way to Seremban to have this meal, I would have knocked my head to the wall.

Firstly, from bright day light, we could see their extremely old furniture - table was so old (lucky they use cloth to cover), and their plastic chairs was soooo dirty..

The 2 noodles we had, the hokkien mee and their so called special noodles wasn't tasty. Just very ordinary tasting, and has overly sweetness.

Kangkung vege. - normal taste.

Mantis shrimp in yam basket- Mantis shrimp can't taste its flesh. The yam basket was tough in its texture, doesn't deliver the 'softness' of yam.

BBQ Crab - from what its most famous for, it just tasted so so. I think way many other places can deliver tastier crab, and no reason to come all the way for their crab.

Overall, their food quality has dropped by way too much from few years back that I've been there.

Even, as I was leaving, I asked the staff or the boss of their opening hours (while he was trying to serve rice to his customers), he just briefly and quickly answered without even looking at my face.

Simply no reason to dine here.

Having started its operation since 2009, Shisha Lounge has survived through its years of operation. Yay! Thumbs up to them.

After my visit here, only then I found out this is such a popular place amongst the Iranians and those from Middle East.

We started with the Gheymeh and Eggplant stew. Gheymeh is a Persian stew and in this option that we ordered, consist of eggplant and split peas. I love the thickness of this stew, that just goes so well with our rice. Eggplant is loved by Iranians and known as "the potato of Iran"..

Gheymeh & Eggplant Stew. Price-RM28

As part of side order to accompany our rice, we also ordered the yoghurt, that comes with small cuts of cucumbers, and dashes of mint.

Yoghurt. Price-RM6Yummeh Saffron rice..

Their saffron rice is super delicious. Must have!

A point to note, we ordered the Kebab, and the wait for a little long.. I think slightly around 20.. but but, it was definitely worth the wait, as the meat has to be slowly barbecued, upon order.

We had the Barg Kebab which means Fillet Kebab, which is a Persian styled barbecued lamb, chicken or beef. We ordered the beef, whereby its cut to stripes and marinated in onion and mix herbs. It was so flavorful, and with it being barbecued, the taste was even more enhanced, and the meat was so tender. A little sourish flavor that came with squeeze of lime onto the beef, alleviate the taste a little more.

Barg Kebab. Price-RM30

Being a chicken lover, we also ordered the Chicken Kebab. Its insanely good! Again so flavorful, and the marination must have worked so well, as I totally can taste full flavor on every part of the meat.

Shisha Lounge also offer performance daily, starting from 11pm.. and was told it ends around 3am. To all the late night crowd, this would be the right place to go.. And reservation is necessary for Fri-Sun, as there are huge crowd during these days.

Section for the band

Tropical setting ambiance

I can't wait to be back, again for the same food, and to try other varieties, and would definitely love to see the performance.

Saffron @ Sri Hartamas, KL  Smile Jun 28, 2015

Past few weeks, I've had craving for Indian restaurant that I frequented more than 10 years ago... Oh, why haven't I been there for so long?

Heading to the neighbourhood the other day, took the chance to visit Saffron for lunch.

Saffron is a family business, serving Northern Indian dishes.

The boss is looking not any less passionate as I last saw him, and upon checking with him, they have now been opened for 19 years... What a record! since nowadays we see many F&B open and close over a short span of operation.

Simple and cosy setting Checked the ala-carte menu, but saw the option for Set Lunch which is highly recommended...You get a portion of meat, vege, bread or rice plus yoghurt salad. What else could we ask for, at the price of RM12.90 which offers you good quality food. Set Lunch options
For the set lunch, we get smaller portion vs if we were to order them ala carte, but the portion given as part of set lunch isn't too little as well. So, worth it!

For the 1st set, we opted for 'Butter Chicken', which is boneless chicken cubes braised in creamy almond and butter sauce, accompanied by 'Maharaja Baingen' which is eggplant spiced with garam masala. They both taste very rich in flavor. I have always loved their 'Bahtura', which is Saffron's specialty.. It's fluffy naan like bread, but this texture carries a slight crispiness and thin.

Set Lunch 1
As fr the second set lunch, we opted for 'Saffron Mirch Murgh', which is chicken and potatoes in spicy curry, flavored with dried chilli and curry leaves, "Sang Aloo' which is home-style potatoes cooked with lightly spiced spinach and "Bhatura".

Set Lunch 2
Overall the food in Saffron has just the right balance in flavor, spiciness and for those who appreciate spices, they will surely love the food served here.

Paradigm Mall has a good share and mix of F&B outlets.

Big statue of Buddha in the restaurant

Paradise Inn offers an intriguing ambiance with its design, and the big statue of Buddha located within the restaurant gives a serene feeling to customers.

With it boasting on their specialty of Pork Bone Soup, I bought their story of how they derive with their broth of pork bone soup, where under slow fire, its simmered for 12 hours, reducing the initial 30kg soup to 8kg to bring out the essence of their ingredients, and this dense soup has high content of protein and collagen.

Ordered the La Mian / hand pulled noodles with Scallops, Prawn and Crab Meat. This is a big bowl of noodle with sizable portion of noodle that has a good elasticity to it, and comes with generous portion of 3 kinda big sized prawns, 3 good size scallops, half egg, seaweed and some vege. Frankly, I prefer less heavy flavor of pork, but for a pork lover, this soup broth will surely fit their appetite.

A shot to show the size of scallop and prawn

We also ordered the egg fried rice. Its a simple cooking that comes with egg and lots of spring onion. One thing is for sure, it carries enough wok-hei, suggesting that strong fire was used to fry this plate of rice.

Fried Egg with Egg. Price-RM12.90

The beef was fried till really tender, and was flavorful. Most importantly, it doesn't have the overly strong smell of beef.

Stir Fried Sliced Beef with Kailan. Price-RM25.90

A good place to go to, when one would like to turn to soupy noodle, and for option of order dishes.
