Brain Hemmorage Smile Jul 29, 2012

This is one gross looking drink. Was attracted by the crowd at Beer Hive and decided to drop by one night. After trying out their drinks, I felt that the price here is affordable for the quality of drink you're served. They aren't stingy with the alcohol in cocktails.

Tried the unappealing Brain Hemmorage which unfortunately, was not prepared properly or else it would look more disgusting tongue It's supposed to be layered bailey's, peach schnapps and grenadine but I'm not sure if they changed anything. Tasted like it though. Really sweet and not too harsh on the throat.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio Smile Jul 28, 2012   (Related Review)

The Spaghetti Aglio Olio is priced between RM10 to RM15. Given a choice between mushroom, chicken and prawn, we chose the first one. I loved the way they cooked the garlic with the olive oil, giving it such a fragrant aroma and taste. I felt that the spaghetti was too salty but it was partially helped by the more bland mushroom. With the size, you may want to order a side dish. You may ask for extra spaghetti though.

It was not anywhere near Winter Solstice Festival but we still managed to enjoy some glutinous rice balls. This is Ginger Soup with Glutinous Rice Balls. The rice balls are big and with fillings. You may choose from sesame or peanut filling. Happy to see that there are so many for the price of RM 6! The soup was very ginger-y and had that 'spiciness'. Rice balls were chewy and bouncy and when you bite into them, you will taste the yummy sweet black sesame paste inside.

Drinks Smile Jul 26, 2012

Finding affordable yet good quality drinks can be a challenge. However, finding parking in this area can be even harder sad The environment is dark, with soft music and large sofas/chairs with pillows. There are also normal dining tables as well. They make use of soft lighting and curtains to create a relaxing and romantic atmosphere.

This here is a virgin pina colada (no alcohol, and wasn't very fond of) and a Long Island Tea. The Long Island tastes great and is not watered down. At RM 20+, I do feel it's worth it.

Mushroom soup Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

On par with the whipped potato from Vary Pasta, the mushroom soup is just as delicious. It is concentrated (does not taste like diluted Campbell soup), thick, and creamy-smooth. The mushroom taste in it is very strong and I like it that way. Feels like I'm getting authentic mushroom soup. It is served with a baguette (toasted until crunchy) which goes well with the slightly salty soup but it is not too salty to drink on it's own.
