I must say that I am very impressed with the décor that Ole-Ole Bali has to offer. They must have invested substantially to give the whole place an authentic Balinese atmosphere. Even the piped music sounds exotic, making you feel that you have just been teleported to Bali.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. This raises the question why anyone would even bother to order burgers or pasta from the menu (which they do offer anyway). Without much hesitation, we immediately flipped the menu to the page where it says “Best of the East”.

The Bali Trio is an obvious choice. It comes with BBQ chicken wings, satay and fried squid. All three were great to the taste buds! Be sure to try out the sauces that come with it. They go well with the respective dishes.

Next on the line is Nasi Campur. This consists of grilled lemongrass prawns, fried squid, grilled fish and chicken or beef rendang (we picked chicken). Merely by taste alone, we knew that the seafood is very fresh!

Moving on, we also ordered Siap Bumbu, which features a generous piece of chicken thigh with marinated with lemongrass, roasted till golden brown. This dish is served with yellow kunyit rice. This dish is among my favorite, as the marinating really blends well with the chicken.

Last but not least, Cumi Metumis was on the table. This dish features a serving of stir-fried squid with several types of spices and peppers. Personally, I feel that the squid is a little too oily, although still falls within what I consider acceptable.

Most dishes are served with a piece of rempeyek, which is deep-fried anchovy cracker. It is preferable to consume it while it is warm and still crispy, something that we failed to re

alize. Another special side dish for most dishes is the bean salad, or lawar kacang as the menu says. I didn’t know that beans can make an impressive side, but Ole-Ole Bali proved me wrong.

Overall, the dining experience in Ole-Ole Bali is excellent and satisfactory. It costs around RM30 to RM40 for a dish, so the bill added up to over RM150 for a table of 4. This is one of the few places that I will visit again soon to try other dishes, but not so often because of the damage it just made to my wallet!

Being a Balinese dish...and coming from Ole-Ole do expect lots of spices and fieriness to it! With generous ingredients of potatoes, mushrooms, fried shallots, fried garlic, tomatoes, brinjal and onions. Super duper yums

I super, super love this! The squid was marinated, spiced and seasoned to perfection before being grilled; bringing out the most wonderful taste. Super yums Not too hard nor too tender; and tasted best when drizzled with the lime juice squeezed out freshly from the half-lime which accompanied the dish...and of course dipped into the accompanying sambal. Ole-Ole Bali is definitely one of my favorite Balinese restaurants in town, definitely ! Their Solaris Mont Kiara branch is so exquisitely furnished! Let's talk about one of my favorite dishes on the menu; Nasi Campur Ol-Ole. The portion is so huge that it can be shared among up to 2-3 persons Consisting of grilled squid, grilled fish, grilled chicken, sate lilit (otak-otak wrapped around lemongrass sticks) and ample amounts of delicious sambal. in ole ole they specialize in authentic Indonesian cuisines.really pure indonesian food here, many choices of the food and one of the most famous is the ayam penyet in indonesian style. and very authentic. the seafood platter is very special and taste so good. other menu look nice is the satay and also the chicken is very tender and juicy at the same time with nice dining environment here

The chicken rice here is not just a basic chicken rice. The chicken rice here comes with half in size, and then yellow rice, together with crackers, sambal as well as kangkung. The portion look very small but then when you eat everything together, actually the portion is quite big too. You will feel very filling after you consume their half chicken into your stomach. I like their environment here.

Definitely too much for a single person to handle! The Nasi Campur is huge and is worth the RM 33 we paid. The platter consists of chicken, rice, popadam/cracker, kangkung, 'tempe salad?', 2 sambals (one had lemongrass), Sate Lilit, prawn, squid and fish. Chicken was juicy, fish wasn't dry and I loved the squid. Everything had a BBQ smokey taste to it. Popadam/cracker was way too hard and hardly had any taste.

Warning: this is a very big dish and you probably won't be able to finish it by yourself. It consists of two huge pieces of beef steak and mutton. The steak is cooked well and was not too tough. There wasn't much of the mutton though as a big chunk of it was bones. Both had a lot of taste (kinda like BBQ smoky) and went well with the sauce. Served with mashed potato, corn and coleslaw.

This Squid Salad definitely appealed to our taste buds. At RM 14, I would probably order this again as a starter to be shared. At the bottom is a mixture of greens with cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices and peeled orange slices. On top is quite a lot of nicely fried squid rings. Squeezing the lime over it and dipping into the sauce really enhances the taste. The popadam/crackers, however, were not nice. They were too hard and didn't have much taste.

Dropped by for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. This place is huge! There are seating upstairs and outside as well. I do recall it being a little hot inside though. Lighting is dim and warm, creating a cozy environment. As it was hot, we got Sour Virgin Margaritas. It has lemon and lime juice in it served with mint leaves and salted rim. Cold, sour and salty, so refreshing.

The Ole-Ole Trio consists of three starters or snacks (the kind you enjoy with beer or while watching TV) : BBQ chicken wings, Cumi-Cumi Goreng (fried squid), Sate Lilit which is otak-otak wrapped around a lemon grass stick (not to be eaten), 3 different dips and a handful of steamed rice. I really liked the fried squid and the Sate Lilit was enjoyable to eat although a tad bit salty. Dips enhanced the taste too, especially the lemongrass one.
