My personal favourite would be their basic ramen, the Ajitsuke Tamago Ramen which is basically a bowl of thin Japanese wheat noodles accompanied by sliced pork, seaweed, seasoned egg and topped off with spring onions sitting in chicken soup.
I find that their chicken soup was just perfectly flavoured as it was not as salty in comparison to the usual pork broths.
I have a habit of layering my bowl of ramen with plenty of white sesame seed before savoring it. The addition of it has indeed made it taste much nuttier. Their chicken soup base was brimming with flavours and heavily rich, yet not overly salty. I would say try not to take your time to savour or don’t finish the stock as it may become over-powering and heavy-going towards the end.

Marutama Ramen is always my top preference in Malaysia. This first time I tried was in Farenheit 88 and thereafter I visiting marutama quite often and always want to recomend my friend to this restaurant. I always order the same ramen _ Char Siew Tamago Ramen, with non spicy soup base and sometime I will add on extra tamago. I am in love with the ramen broth, the taste is so special that my taste bud convinced me that the chef actually used one whole chicken for 2 bowls of soup. I am in love with the ramen broth, the taste is so special that my taste bud convinced me that the chef actually used one whole chicken for 2 bowls of soup. Therefore, customer can never request to add on additional soup. Up to now, I still can't find any ramen soup base that taste better than marutama.

In addition, I am pretty much comfortable to dine in in this restaurant, the interior is comfortable, Japanase-style decoration and not forgot to mention it smells so good.hahaha

So yes!! please don't wait and check out this place to the soonest!!

Marutama is one of my top choices for authentic japanese ramen. I usually dine in at least once in a week( I'm not kidding, that's how much I love MARUTAMA).I like the chicken based soup here, less oily compared to pork broth, yet still flavorful and addictive! I personally prefer the spicy version! Oh, if you like it spicier do ask for their special chili paste with no charge! If there's one thing you must order in Marutama, it would be Tamago! If there's one thing you must order in Marutama, it would be Tamago! Marutama's Tamago is no doubt the best Tamago I've ever had to date. The seasoned egg is simply divine!

My fav comfort food!

I really like the ramen at this restaurant. The noodles are thin and cooked with the right consistency and springy texture. One of my favourite is the Char Siu Tamago Ramen which has roast pork, seaweed, spring onion and boiled egg. The egg is really the highlight of this dish. The runny yolk really adds so much flavour to the already tasty soup and made it savoury sweet. I could taste a mildly strong salty flavour from the roast pork slices which is not fatty.
