Siu Mai RM4.50/3pcs. Typical siu mai, the size wasn't too small but I think I had bigger ones in Jalan Ipoh.

Shrimp Rice Roll RM4.80/plate. Not that good but at least can satisfy my cravings.

Overall, it was a good breakfast. Although it might be slightly pricier than those normal coffee shops but it's more comfortable to eat in Jin Xuan since it's more chilling with air condition and it looks cleaner too.

Their signature dishes are Home Made Siew Mai, Home Made BBQ Pork Buns, Har Gaw, Steamed Fish Ball and Golden Buns. The restaurant is air conditioned, and the environment is nice, clean and comfortable. It is furnished with marble topped kopitiam tables and wooden chairs. Their signature bao, which is the golden bun is really fantastic. The custard is inside will flow out once you bite it. The custard is really creamy and the bao texture is very smooth. The Steamed Soup Dumpling is simply amazing. You need to use the spoon provided to take the dumpling, just in case if the soup come out from the dumpling. The soup is very nice. The BBQ Pork Bun, Loh Mai Kai, and Siu Mai all are good. I also like the Thai Style Beancurd very much. The meat is wrapped by the beancurd and steam together with thai style sauce which made it very unique and delicious.Overall, I am satisfy with the dim sum here although the price is a bit expensive than other normal dim sum shop. But I think is worth the money for it's food quality and nice environment.

Wifey wanted something different, with the main ingredient being pork. The affable waiter suggested for us to try the steamed pork with spices. We agreed, and the dish came in a jiffy. The pork is nicely steamed, tender and juicy. There were some chilli bits as well as black beans in it to give it an extra tang. Priced at RM3.50, I thought it was slightly expensive for a small plate, but I guess it is still worth the amount paid.

No dim sum meal is complete without the appearance of siew mai, hence we ordered some of that. The siew mai came piping hot, proof that it had just came out from the steamer. Every mouthful of filled with juicy pork meat. The yellow skin is quite thin, and there was a whole prawn hiding underneath all the pork meat. I like the fact that they use real prawn eggs as topping to the siew mai. Most other restaurants uses coloured sago beads. Definitely recommended.

Wifey and I decided to take a look at the many kitchen cabinet shops in Kota Damansara. While exploring, we saw that a branch of Restoran Jin Xuan Hong Kong has opened there. Since there were not many people, and we were feeling peckish, we sat and ordered some dim sum. The first to come was the har gau. I like the fact that their har gau has a slightly chewy texture, with the skin not too thick. The prawns used were crunchy and fresh. Definitely recommended.

Each of them were made of some minced meat and pieces of prawns with crunchy texture. But it tasted dry and lacked the juicy after-taste. Obviously, it was done on few days back, just re-heated then served to customer. The skin was way too thick while the filling had the same problem, free from juiciness. The filling was minced thinly till you barely identified. cold served, but still retain the crunchy batter coating. Anyway, the shrimp filling was dried out, even Mayonnaise dressing couldn't help any for better savoring.

steamed dim sum was totally out of taste. Do not consider to order any unless you really crave on it!

Poking a hole, the piping hot golden liquid pouring out nicely. It is a steamed cake of rice flour and grated Chinese radish (lo-bak), which is then cut into biting cube size, stir fry with scallion, tao ge, egg and other condiment. Without dried shrimp, it savor more into sweet side, which exactly my cup of tea.

Jin Xuan had opens more and more branches and we had opt to have a try on the foood there. As I am a fan of siew bao, it is indeed a good thing to have for breakfast is a siew pao with a chinese tea. The siew bao is flavorful with the thin skin and filling meat inside. I am loving the siew bao but just slightly dry.

Who says one cannot have dim sum at night?I did! Salted egg + century egg & pork congee. Not the best I've eaten so far but it was not too bad either. Quite flavourful with the amount of century egg inside but not so much of salted egg and pork slices. Shrimp dumpling. Each dumpling had one big and succulent prawn wrapped in it. Tasted a bit bland without pork Seaweed roll; crab stick and pork. So so only.Golden bun!Look at the filling! Leaks out immediately when you break the bun into half. Ver
