What an extraordinary name for a restaurant. Contrary to popoular suggestions, no house and co was not named because they serve homecooked food like mom used to make. House and Co used to be a retail outlet selling interior decorative items. The evolution of House & Co is nothing short of remarkable

Under the helm of the owner and head Chef, House & Co has created unique and exciting dishes such as the deep fried Sea Bass. Layered with a light batter, the fish is deep fried until it turns gold and then it is served with a special soy sauce dip. The Omega 3 from the Sea Bass melts in the mouth and the dip just eccentuates the taste.

Another amazing dish the the Tiger Prawn in Special Sauce. It is clear by now that the restaurant only serves the best ingredients. The prawns are fresh and succulent, all of them evenly coated with glistening glaze of spicy and sweet sauce. This is a dish that you have to eat with your fingers and it is so good, you will lick the plate clean.

The Harlot pasta is really delicious, tangy with a kick of chillie flakes. The shrimp is succulent and the portion is substantial. We also ordered something this crispy chocolate orange hazelnut cake. It was nice, but i personally preferred the carrot cake more. It is rich and velvety, just the right amount of sweetness. Made up of several layers of distinctive texture, very impressive! Price : RM 18

If you happen to be in this area and you are craving for some good old Malaysian Nasi Lemak, this is the place to go! House+Co's nasi lemak is served stylishly on a large plate, together with your choice of beef/ chicken rendang or sambal sotong, huge crunchy ikan bilis, peanuts, cucumber, egg, blanced kangkung and sambal. I tried the chicken stew with baguette. The use of spices like star anise and cloves makes this dish so comforting and warming, the baguette was warm from the oven. The kind of dish that brings back fond childhood memories. Price : RM 23

The asian chicken salad is light and healthy, consisting of a whole succulent chicken breast with steamed pak choy and crunchy bean sprouts, topped with ginger and organic sesame seeds. Price : RM 21 for normal chicken and RM29 for village chicken.

Am a loyal supporter of this restaurant as it offers great food and a cosy ambiance to catch up with an old friend or throw a little party. Grape, broccoli + pine nut salad! This was lovely! The fresh crunch from the vegetables paired with occasional bits of whole sweet raisins, who knew healthy food could taste so yummy! Before leaving do not forget to bring

Before leaving do not forget to bring home some of these to die for curry puffs!

This is not your typical curry puff as it is loaded with fragrant spices of rich curry, chicken, egg and potatoes enveloped in a flakey puff pastry coating. Crispy, flavourful and not too oily, best enjoyed with a hot cup of teh tarik.

Flourless orange and almond cake, served warm.

Was not expecting a flourless cake to be so moist and rich! It was not too sweet and the orange zest topping gave it a mild citrus punch. Delightful!

Hidden gem, definitely worth your bucks!

Although the food is great, the menu is pretty small (sandwiches, salads and a few Asian dishes) so don't expect lots of variety. have the signature Nasi Lemak and Curry Laksa nice to try this out.and nice decoration here.

The refurbished House + Co is bigger, better and more beautiful than ever. The terrific news is that it now serves dinner too, instead of only lunch and tea. The curry puffs still rank among KL's best. Packed with tender chicken, boiled egg and spices. Practically perfect, not bogged down at all by any excess oil or a soggy crust. Slightly less successful was the pear, avocado and pecan salad, tossed in a mustard vinaigrette and pecorino. But that's partly because we're not big fans of pears. Still an excellent salad, with a generous helping of creamy avocados.

The chicken rice was one of the healthiest I've ever had, with chicken breast cooked in foil and barely any hint of oil in the rice. Taste-wise, this won't provide shockwaves of pleasure, but ripples of of satisfaction can be expected. Red velvet cake. Not bad, but not at its best, since it was four days old. Brandy truffle cake. Pretty decadent. The cakes were kept in a display counter that wasn't prominent enough, but they were still flying off the shelves. Every table seemed to want some.
