My dinner consisting of a Hong Kong style fried Kuey Teow, a Salted vegetable and tofu soup, and this amazing Roasted pork. And this one was delivered to me cause I was extra lazy that day. Now what can I say about these dishes. Palatable is probably the best description. Having these street foods done commercially, I would say it would be a convenient place to go if looking for Cantonese food under one roof. Plus the dining ambience and services as well as everything else that comes at ease. Most of the time, these food are easily located from the street and hawker centre at a more affordable price. I mean, the Char Kuey Teow prices at RM 16. That’s 4 plates on average by the street? But Canton Fare did fairly deliver a good plate of Char Kuey Teow. And a gentle reminder to those with any form of kidney problem, stay away from the soup as they are really salty.

Pi Feng Tang Prawn
The praws are being well battered and it is then being deep fried with garlic and spices with it. The taste is sweet and spicy which open my wish to have more. One bonus for this dish is the prawn are serve fresh, nothing beats when the prawn are fresh, everything in it will be more delicious. Though somehow this dish is quite expensive

I love the very cosy ambiance in this outlet at Mont Kiara, although the parking spaces are difficult to find at times. Si Yau Wong Fried Noodles (鼓油皇炒面) @ RM16 Chinese always prefer rice or noodle to accompany the main dishes, so here we go with this stir-fried noodles with seafood. Soy sauce can be way too salty, but not in Canton Fare. The springy noodles retain the crunchiness despite of being ssoaked into the sauce for a good 20 minutes!

Crispy egg plant, bitter gourd and prawn with salted egg yolk (咸旦炒三宝) is another item which is being served as well. It's alike tempura and the speciality is using the salted egg yolk with it. The portion is served in golden brown and the freshness of the prawns is also there. The dish is indeed very nicely made with the delighting taste . This is where the duck is being deep fried and shreaded into thin slices and it is then being served together with the translucent alike popiah skin, cucumber and sauces. How it is being tasted? Taiwanese 3 Cup Chicken (RM22)
The meaning of 3 cup means the chicken is cook with three types of main ingredients in equal portion, that is the rice wine, soy sauce and sesame oil. The combination of these three ingredients make a perfect combination, making the chicken full of flavour and nicely infused with the taste of rice wince, soy sauce and sesame oil. The basil leaves that is being added in while cooking give an extra aroma to the dish, but it does has a pungent taste which not everyone can accept.

Complimentary Fried Fish Skin

While waiting for our order to arrive, we are greeted with a platter of crispy fish skin deep-fried into golden perfection. A very light snack to munch on while having a good time of chit-chatting. A little salty for me though.

Crispy Aromatic Duck (脆皮香酥鸭) @ RM38

Then we are introduced with the main course of the evening, a new creation of this humble restaurant. The duck is deep-fried and shredded into thin slices, revealing the tenderness of inner flesh. It is quite chewy for the meat, but the skin is too stiff and salty for me.

Served with translucent skin, cucumber and sauces, you can wrap the meat and your choice of condiments with the skin and munch through the layers of texture which gives the best time of enjoyment!
