It is also known as the "banana cake" here at Whisk whereby the origin hummingbird from the US consist of crushed pineapple and banana and whipped with cheese cream. I never try that so can't really compare, but the hummingbird cake here does have a perfect texture with less dense, solid and compact inside out. It is something special with great taste and not too sweet to my liking and is highly recommended
