Tasty Pot Buffet Steamboat (已搬遷) 新店位置

I like soups, but I love steamboats. I love the fact that we can all cook our food in a single pot and share among your family and friends while spending quality time with them. The fact that we could all sit together and wait for our food in the soup is amazingly warm. That is of course, if it is an air conditioned restaurant or if it is a rainy day, when the weather is cooling and breezy. Tasty pot happens to fulfill this apart from the amazing choices of types of soup bases.This buffet style

Mantao. Apart from the huge varieties of steamboat materials and a few signature items, I would say that their mantao was quite spectacular too. The size was not too big but being deep fried till crispy on the outside, but still maintained its softness on the inside. I just like to eat this just as it is without dipping into other sauce. The mantao itself was a little bit salty.

Fu chuk, Lady Fingers, mussel. When dining in a steamboat restaurant, I always love to order fu chuk. In fact, even with buffet style, I would take a lot of fu chuk. Tasty Pot fu chuk was big piece and it was slightly salty and soft after boiled in the soup. The lady fingers were big and fresh. It was not the old type that is not chewable. The mussel was big too, slightly fishy taste.

Assorted fish balls. Since Tasty Pot is about buffet, of course they have a lot of varieties of fish balls and fish paste. I took quite a number of different fish balls. The orange color fish balls were springy and it was slightly sweet. The "pillow" fish balls were fresh and bouncy. The fu chuk that consisted fish paste in it was slightly salty.The other looks like a mushroom fish balls have fishy taste.

Always just drink soya bean but never thought of it can cook food. Thanks for the inovation thinking of the owner. The soya bean pot here is something I quite like and enjoy. The soya soup taste slightly different from the soya we usually drink. The soya here taste sweeter in a different way. Normally I come here I choose soya soup base and also herbal soup base. Tasty Pot offers a lot of varieties of balls, meat and seafood. There are a few soup base that you can choose: Clear chicken soup, tomyam, curry soya, soya, porridge and Hot & spicy ('Ma Lat'). We decided to choose something different from the typical steamboat: Hot & Spicy and porridge based. The porridge based soup does not taste like porridge, it was watery and very little rice.
