Vietnamese coffee (RM10) – portion is pretty small. They do serve Chon coffee (similar to kopi luwak) but I haven’t got the guts to drink civet’s dung coffee yet.

The only bad thing about this place is that they dont serve cafe sua da (iced Vietnamese coffee) on the menu – but its not a big deal. You can always ask for a glass of ice, and just pour the coffee inside. Tadaa – Iced Vietnamese Coffee.

Ordered Vietnamese pancake – I don’t remember seeing this at Ho Chi Minh but damn the pancake is huggggeee!!! It has a crunchy texture, almost similar to crepe. We ordered mushroom and chicken pancake I think, and it was nice
Definitely a must try.

Vietnamese Braised Duck with Tamarind Sauce. This was featured on the menu so we decided to give it a try. It was nice – has a tangy sweet sour flavor, the meat is tender and I loooveee steam carrots hahahaha.

Honestly I would definitely come back. It was soo gooood! Recommended! Pricey, but damn worth it.

I’m back to Sao Nam Vietnamese Cuisine again to satisfy my craving for Vietnamese food. Another must have Vietnam dishes is the beef noodle soup or Beef Pho. It is priced at RM 18.00 per bowl. This is definitely for beef lover as it is full with lots of beef slices. I really like the way they serve the Beef Pho in a large bowl with lots of beef and soup. I am surprise that there is no beefy smell at all and how clear the soup is (not oily at all). Definitely must try when you visit Sao Nam Vietn

How can you visit a Vietnamese restaurant without ordering the spring rolls? It is a must have for me! In SA0 NAM Fine Vietnamese Cuisine, I ordered the Deep Fried Chicken Spring Rolls for RM18.00. It is basically fried minced chicken rolls with strips of carrot, yam, wood ear mushrooms delicately rolled in fine paper and deep fried to a golden crisp. The filings in these rolls are really compact and its not as crispy as the Chinese version of fried popiah. Given the options between the two vers

For lunch, I ordered the Vietnamese Laksa @ RM18.00. The taste, the texture, everything, is very different from our Malaysian laksa. This Vietnamese laksa is a super-rich noodle laksa cooked with fragrant curry powder and dried shrimps. The sauce was sweet and very creamy. Lots of fresh prawns too. Very recommended.

Still a popular draw, thanks to its consistently delicious food. Sao Nam's star recipe, the mangosteen & prawn salad, deserves all the acclaim it has reaped.
