Sakura means "Cherry Blossom" in Japanese. Which means the Sakura paste in this Mochi is actually made from salted, pickled and preserved dried Cherry Blossom petals and leaves. Really interesting I thought! And of course, it tastes good. No surprise there! If you haven't eaten any Sakura desert before, having this Sakura Mochi from Mochi Sweets is certainly a very good start

Mochi Sweets' Red Bean Mochi is actually labelled as one of their "Best-Sellers', so of course I gotta gave it a try No regrets there. The red bean paste's flavorful and bursting with yummy red bean flavors. Most importantly it's not overtly sweet so it does not do much damage on your waistline. Super yummy. Totally worth it for Red Beans' healthy AND delicious!

Caramel as we all know is made from butter and burnt brown sugar.. and this taste comes across very distinctively with Mochi Sweet's Caramel Macchiato. I love the richness of the caramel filling and how it blends in so well with the Mochi's glutinous flour. Every bite's gooey, chewy and yummy. Super love it. At only RM3.50 per piece, definitely it's very worth it!

Apparently, this is another best-seller! At RM4 a piece, it's supposed to really live up to its' hype! Well, I would say it did.. especially if you love Mangoes.. The mangoes they used to blend into a paste for the filling is certainly juicy and sweet.. yummy! The glutinous flour for the Mochi's also done just right.. with the right level of chewiness and gooey-ness. I love it!

I was elated to find out that Mochi Sweets finally decided to open at 1 Utama Shopping Center. Yaay! Well, no surprise there.. since 1Utama houses most of the major F&B brands and is definitely the perfect place to operate at given it's huge market catchment. Mochi Sweets at 1Utama is hugely popular over the weekends, with lots of people dropping by to buy their favorite flavors. yums

Mochi Sweets is located in Ground Floor in One Utama, and you can't miss it. It's smack in the middle of the shopping cnetre. We decided to try the peach cream mochi this time, and it wasn't a disappointment. Again, we had to wait for about 15-20 mins for thawing. Once done is done, nibbling ensues. The flavourful pinkish mochi bursts in delectable peach flavour, every bite a yummy experience. Definitely recommended!

The first time I tried Mochi Sweets was in Hong Kong, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have a branch here in One Utama. This is a memorable piece. I always loved mochi, and this piece was bought by my loved one for me. Touched They need some time to defrost after you buy it, so buy it earlier so that you will not have to wait for too long! I would say that caramel macchiato, the name was really attracting me, but the taste I would say is so so only, maybe I expected too much from it. But still, I enjoyed it, I think it is worth trying, or maybe you can try their other flavours, they have got plenty!

It wasn't until recently that there is a hype of buying mochi. Seriously, what's so special about it? Basically you have to wait 30 min before you can bite on it because it has to defrost.
