Wifey ordered the dong guai stewed pork with white rice. We thought that it would be served separately, however, the white rice was drenched in the watery stewed pork. The pork was lean, and it was a bit dry. There were some dong guai taste, but overall it was quite bland too. Some pieces of black fungus was used in the stew as well. Perhaps wifey and I are most used to saltier food, hence we were not impressed by the taste here.

I was in Paradigm Mall with wifey, deciding what to eat for dinner. As we were going up the escalator, an affable waitress beckoned us to patronise Taang Shifu. As we browsed through the menu, they looked pretty interesting, so we decided to eat there. I ordered that mee suah with herbs and rice wine. I was rather disappointed when the dish came, as it looked nothing like the delicious picture. The taste of the soup was OK, slightly bland. The mee suah was too soft for my liking. Overall, not a

"Ge Gen" Heat Reducing Tea. I have always ordered the aloe vera juice when I visit this restaurant as it was really nice. That night, I chose to try something different and the picture of this drink was enlarged at the menu. It came in a jug and enough for 3-4 pax. The two of us find it hard to finish the whole jug. It came with some ice that made it cool to drink. Tasted like sour plum juice and thick. Very good.

Abalone sauce rice dumpling. That night I do not feel like having noodles, so I ordered this abalone sauce rice dumpling. Well, since they mentioned abalone sauce, actually I didn't manage to taste it, maybe it was quite mild. The wolfberries were sweet. The rice dumpling was filled with some herbs and it was quite sticky and solid in texture. I was quite full after eating half of it.

Nourishing dumpling soup. I ordered the nourishing dumpling soup for sharing. It came in a bucket sort of thing and inside has a stainless steel bowl to hold the soup. There were a few pieces of dumpling. The skin was being boiled till very soft and it dropped off when I tried to scoop it up. The soup has a lot of wolfberries too. The soup was not too salty and it taste quite delicious.

Nourishing soup with ginseng. Taang Shifu offers many types of nourishing soup and one of their signature nourishing soup is this - soup with ginseng. It came with a piece of chicken drumb stick, wolfberries, herb slices and a piece of ginseng. The soup was clear but it was thick with herbal flavour with a tint of ginseng taste. It was not too bitter, very nice to drink.

Black Sesame Bun. I was feeling quite hungry that day, so apart from my noodles, I ordered this black sesame bun as well. It came with a bowl of meat and 4 pieces of black sesame bun. The black sesame bun is empty in the middle where I put the meat into it. The bun was thick and not so soft while the meat was quite salty, and very strong of porky taste. I do not quite like this dish.

Aloe Vera juice. I was in dilemma on which drink to choose as Taang Shifu offers quite a number of healthy drinks. Ended up I went with aloe vera juice. The drink came with some aloe vera at the bottom and I have to stir it to give a whole drink an aloe vera taste. I like the aloe vera cubes too, although they were tiny but there were nice to chew and sweet, strong with aloe vera flavour.

Beancurd with abalone sauce. Apart from the noodles that we ordered, we added on this beancurd with abalone sauce for sharing. The beancurd was clearly the white square beancurd version and the broth consisted mulberries, mushrooms, baby abalone and some shallots. The abalone was extremely tiny, say like 1cm in length. The beancurd was smooth while the sauce was not too salty.

Royal seafood noodle. The name of this set sounded pretty classy. It came with a plate of noodle (that has brocoli and very smell mussels) and a bowl of soup (that consisted sea cucumber, fish lips, scallop). The soup was somewhat similar to shark fin soup texture as it was starchy and sticky. The sea cucumber has a nice-to-chew texture. The soup was not too salty.

Mee suah with dried scallop and abalone slices. This is a very simple mee suah but it was a very delicious one instead. The mee suah came with broccoli, mushrooms, sliced abalone topped with some dried scallop. The mee suah was moist and soft, it was very slippery mee suah in fact. The abalone slices were chewy. The mushrooms were juicy. The dried scallop was slightly salty.

Hubby and I decided to splurge on this meal, as the Seafood Hot Pot looked extremely delicious. However, it doesn't come cheap as it costs approximately RM180 for the dish. Still, once in a lifetime to try. The portion was quite big, and they gave two each for everything. The best part of the dish is the two medium-sized abalone. There were also scallops, goose web, brocolli, mushroom, stewed pork, lots of cabbage, fish maw and yam at the very bottom of the pot. I thought the gravy was under-sal

Hubby and I were passing by Taang Shifu when the waiter standing outside the restaurant approached us to entice us to patron the restaurant. Since I have not sampled their dishes, I decided to do so, since it was nearly dinnertime anyway. We ordered the French Beans with Puer Tea Leaves, as the dish sounded quite enticing. 再来一道食之无味的料理。我的天啊！怎么会那么没味道呢？ 整碗东西只用那一点点洒在面上类似炸葱的东西调味吗？面没有味道，面浆汁没有味道，冬菇超级冬菇味，最好吃的就是那几棵用热水烫烫就好的椰菜花。 我们7个人吃了整三百块没有味道的料理，贵又不值得。这就是“健康膳食”吗？我相信有更能入口的健康料理。

当然招牌和餐单上的图案不能以标准，而且价钱才十七块，可是我还真没见过那么小只的鲍鱼 ＝＝” 鲍鱼就算了，这碗东西可说是食之无味。 饭是湿的，整碗饭的味道统统混在一起，从一开始吃第一口到最后一口都是同！一！个！味！道！真令我不开心！
