This dish is generally known as "Kung Po Chicken" to us Chinese, and in any other chinese dining establishments it's also normally listed as such. So I was surprised that in Esquire Kitchen's menu this dish is listed as "Chicken Paprika" haa haa but actually it's the same thing.. succulent, tender chicken pieces fried with cashew nuts and dried chillies and a special sweet dark soy sauce makes it very appetizing indeed

In the menu, this noodle is listed as a 'Recommended'/ 'Chef's Speciality'.. and being a huge noodle lover I really gotta try. And I wasn't disappointed. Their noodles are unlike those you find in hawker centers or those that you can buy off the racks at supermarkets. It's a Shanghai specialty noodle.. and having been to Shanghai and tasted their noodles there; I can safely say the texture and look is almost the same The wheat noodles is wok fried with seafood, noodles and meat to create one of

The wheat noodles is wok fried with seafood, noodles and meat to create one of the best fried noodles plate ever. Yumm

Apparently this is another "Chef's Recommendation"/ "Esquire Specialty" dish. It's prepared Szechuan-style, where the eggplants are first deep-fried till tender before stir-fried with Esquire Kitchen's specially prepared Sze Chuan sauce and generous portions of minced pork, garlic and spring onions. It's pretty delicious really, but unfortunately a tad too oily :-(

Great as an appetizer whilst waiting for the main dishes to arrive, great as a light dessert.. or even just to munch into for fun while window-shopping at Mid Valley. Whatever it is, I totally love Esquire's Char Siew BBQ Siew Pau. The puff pastry's light, crispy and has just the right buttery consistency. And the Char Siew filling's one of the best I had. Totally must try!

A great single-plate meal to have if you're not feeling too hungry or just on a budget. The rice is fried Yang Chow-style, with lots of prawn, meat, spring onions, scrambled egg, mixed frozen veges (peas, corn, carrots.. ) and of course mixed in with Esquire's special sauce for good measure. I love it! At only RM7.90 a plate, it's definitely value for money, i reckon

Whenever I'm in Mid Valley and long for good, ol' Chinese food without breaking the wallet, Esquire Kitchen almost always come to mind. The chain of restaurants has been in Malaysian for quite a while now.. And with it's quality food and competitive prices it's definitely here to stay. Their cooking is not too oily nor too salty, just the way I like it. My favorite's their signature Fried Shanghainese Mee, Minced Pork Zhejiang Mee, Steamed Tofu, as well as their DongPo dish (braised pork) which

Tung Po Meat is one of the famous dish from China since long time ago. The name is derived from a famous poetry. I don’t know how poetry can come out with such a nice dish. Maybe he was a famous cook before he became poetry.This pork meat is very fattening. If you are on diet mode, forget about the diet plan. The meat is very thick and very oily. 如果你想吃到软绵绵的肥肉,这里可能让你失望了。可能现在的人比较讲究健康,可是感觉上没了肥肉根本不叫东坡肉啊。所以说这里的东坡肉都是瘦肉为主。但是值得庆幸的是卤汁很香很入味。

大人餐厅给我的印象就是摆在门前摆卖得糕饼。不过这次不是光顾这里的糕点,而是进去点了一份咸鱼炒饭。炒饭颜色很浅,味道普通,并没有把咸鱼的味道发挥得淋漓尽致。就好像炒饭一个味道,咸鱼一个味道。

叫了一碟炒饭觉得有点干便点了一份莲藕汤。汤的表层有点油,撇开这个不说,汤头好像还没什么火候,熬得不够久味道似乎不够浓郁。因为口干所以点汤喝,喝了竟然觉得更口渴,不用我说都懂了吧。

好久来这里用餐。刚好朋友想在这里吃午餐。就随他的意吧。食物选择很多。粥粉面饭样样齐全。点了份杨州炒饭。份量蛮大。可以吃的很饱。味道方面就普普通通。比较清淡,配料也比较少。

sambal prawnThis is the sambal prawn.The prawn is not really big but it's very fresh and tender.They removed all the shells and this is what i really like.The prawn is fully covered by the sambal and it taste very aromatic.The sambal sauce not really spicy but very tasty.They added some onion and the onion is so soft and tasty.The portion is very huge and i like this so much.

oyster sauce sawiThis is the oyster sauce sawi.This is always good to order when we have bak kut teh.The sawi is very fresh and soft. It's not chewy and it taste really nice.The oyster sauce is quite salty and aromatic.But it's actually quite oily.They added quite a lot of fried onion on top of the sawi.It's so crispy.But this will be better if they reduce the oyster sauce.But actually it's still acceptable.

Sometimes their portion here can be quite big. For example like their fried rice, their noodles, all these portion is big and you will definitely get a bloated stomach. But sometimes their portion is way too small. The pork fried with lots of onion is quite nice. The pork taste is really there.

When people talk about esquire kitchen, most of them will think of Dong Po Meat. Dong Po Meat is one of their signature dish here. It is a traditional china dish. The pork here is fat and big pieces. The sauce is very very sweet. You can either eat it with rice or dip with their bun.
