Sweet & Sour Crab OK Jul 24, 2012   (Related Review)

Sweet & Sour Crab
The crab here is quite disappointing not because it taste bad but it tasted just like any other crab dish elsewhere. The crab is cut into half before cooking it for easy consume and that did help in getting the flavour soaked into the meat beneath the hard shell. There is a balance of sweet and sour on the gravy and the gravy is kind of watery where as I would prefer a slightly thick gravy. Glad that the crab is fresh and the meat isn't sticky and can really taste the 'seafood' sweetness in it.

Fried Bihun OK Jul 24, 2012   (Related Review)

Fried Bihun
One of the dish recommended by the waitress is the fried bihun with lala and so we tried one. When it was served, it does smell good and appetizing. I however find that there were only small size of lala and there is only so little lala present in the dish. Put that aside, I did kinda enjoy the bihun as it is rich in flavour and is well cooked without having the bihun either dry or soggy. My friend however did not enjoy the dish because of the strong lala flavour that cover all over the dish and she is not a 'lala person' is what I can say.

Kung Bao Squid OK Jul 24, 2012   (Related Review)

Kung Bao Squid
Kung Bao (or some call it Kung Bou) is a type of sauce that suits daily consumed meat like chicken, fish and etc. Since we are at restaurant serving mostly and mainly seafood, we tried the kung bao squid. The sauce is quite good to me with all the satisfied flavour and spicy in it but the squid is kind of rubbery, making it difficult to chew and swallow, I guess that's sign of over cook squid. This is sad but true, I ended up enjoying eating the vege in the sauce like lady finger, onion, and so instead of the key ingredient of the dish.

Brussel Sprouts OK Jul 23, 2012   (Related Review)

Brussel Sprouts
The lightly stir fried brussel sprouts with peeled garlic is covered by oyster sauce and sprinkle with fried onion. The brussel sprouts is lightly salted but the oyster sauce play its role in giving flavour and taste to the dish. I especially love the fried onion for providing the extra crunch in every bite. Nothing much on the oyster sauce as it tasted just like those from the bottle found on supermarket shelf. Overall there isn't much to shout about and it taste just ordinary but the good thing, it is not oily like how some other place is.

Fermented Beancurd Lettuce OK Jul 23, 2012

Fermented Beancurd Lecttuce
A quick stir fried of fresh and sweet lettuce and is then mix with fermented beancurd for that extra taste, and there are big piece of garlic (usually is chopped garlic) and some red chilli. The lettuce still have the crunchy texture and the 'sauce' is somehow too salty to me. Overall is a light and refreshing dish to go along with other non-vegetable dish. However I find the standard of Coconut Flower Seafood Restaurant dropped over these years.
