Tea TIME! Smile Feb 26, 2016

I have to reckon that Bakeri Joy is a very unpretentious palce which whips up really good, simple and moist chocolate cake from scratch!

Pictured here are the butter cake, red velvet and orange butter poppy seed cakes which were equally satisfying. These sweet treats are best eaten and served warm! Aside from that, they also bake a variety of cakes, tarts, breads as well as festive cookies.

The must-have(s) here are the moist chocolate cake which could easily please any chocolate lovers. What they're missing here at this bakery are espresso based coffees and teas to chug along with these sweet treats. like Nevertheless, there is always an option to pack away these cakes instead of dining in.

Everything, all things with wild honey.
Had the Wild honey latte and Wild Honey Apple Pear Rye French toast!

The french toast dish comprises of baked rye bread drenched with wild honey Apple pear sauce topped off with bacon, almond flakes, honey cream, herbs and spices. The combination of all the ingredients made my brunch, a lazy luxurious one.

What a perfect combination. I adored the super fluffy rye bread and crunch from the almond flakes.
The addition of Wild Honey was a unique twist to the usual latte. This is easily one of the more pleasant cup of joe I had ever had. The Wild Honey was comforting to those who don't fancy bitter coffee.

Stage cafe Smile Feb 26, 2016

Started my morning super early. My energy level dropped and I was left feeling sluggish and sleepy for hours after that.
But my day was made by a visit here mad
Decided to have coffee and something sweet for my taste buds.
So I went for a cup of cappuccino and their home baked Friendship cake.

Cappuccino was on point & love their amazingly soft baked green tea and jasmine chiffon cake! It was super fragrant and airy. I can't deny the fluffiness love Topped off with baked almonds as a pretty garnishing, gotta reckon that this went well with my filter coffee of choice today which is the Ethiopia Hambela on aero press. The cappuccino had a nutty aftertaste and a memorable sweet long finishing that I will always remember, till this date of time.

of canales and apple pie! Smile Feb 26, 2016

Happy to come across canalés here and being a big fan of it, myself, I had to give it a go. The crust here is slightly thinner and the vanilla flavour is almost on par wit the ones from Croiserrie. It wasn't too sweet and the custard interior is definitely softer too! Canalés are my biggest vice 🙊 I'm always resisting the temptation to pop the whole pastry into my mouth all at once, however smaller canalés like this one here allows me to appreciate the rich vanilla flavour. If you haven't had them, they're addictive good.
Next up, this place has earned a spot for one of the best apple pies I can find in KL.

Their pie offers a really crispy crust alongside with reasonably good amount of Apple fillings topped up wit a scoop of their homemade vanilla ice cream!

coffee and doughnut time! Smile Feb 22, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack | Desserts | Coffee

Decided to drop by VCR on a Saturday morning as I wanted to give their doughnuts a try, knowing and keeping in mind that the doughnuts are only available during the weekends. They only have two flavored doughnuts, chocolate almond and matcha oreo. As a big matcha fan, I picked the latter over the former. The perfectly baked doughnuts with matcha glaze and oreo cookie crumbs were not overly sweet at all mad

It was no doubt the perfect accompaniment to my bittersweet coffee. This is my first time having their in-house baked doughnuts and I loved it. The texture is a bit odd because it is unlike any other donuts out there in the markets as this crumbles easily as I slice through it. Not to forget to order a cup of joe whenever you swing by. If you are uncertain what to have, #askthebarista , they'd happily recommend you according to your preference. Nevertheless, the combination of aroma and gentle taste makes this a perfect treat for the afternoon.
