The butter prawns in The Royal Flush is definitely scrumptious. Big de-shelled prawns cooked in buttermilk, the gravy is delicious. It comes with a set of six man tau as well, fried to golden perfection. The prawns were fresh and had lots of bright orange roe in it. The slightly salty gravy goes very well with the man tau. The portion is not too big, good enough for six people. Definitely recommended.

Mango With Sticky Rice Smile Apr 18, 2013   (Related Review)

The mango with sticky rice is a staple dessert in any Thai restaurant. I like the fact that they serve a scoop of vanilla ice-cream with it. The sticky rice, with just enough chewiness, is served with a bit of coconut cream on top. The mango was freshly peeled. I was afraid that the mango might be sour, but this mango was very yellow, and extremely sweet. Priced at RM13 a serving, it was definitely well worth the money paid.

Golden Banana Smile Apr 18, 2013   (Related Review)

One of my favourite dessert in Kinnaree Thai Restaurant is the golden banana. We had a choice of fried banana or steamed banana. Without further ado, we ordered the fried one. The bananas came with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, which complemented the piping hot fruit. The banana was wrapped in popiah skin, and fried till brown. When cutting it open, the banana filling inside was basically mush, and I like it this way. I always request for more honey syrup, as I like it super sweet. Priced at RM11 per serving, it was definitely well worth the amount paid.

Paku With Shrimp Paste Smile Apr 18, 2013   (Related Review)

The waitress mentioned that their vegetable, specifically the fern, is very fresh, hence urged us to try. I normally do not like paku as I find them a bit too green to my palate. However, the dish that arrived is very well done. No greenish taste at all. Instead, we got a plate of fresh, crunchy vegetables soaked in belacan shrimp paste. It was a bit spicy if just eaten by itself, hence with a bit of rice, it is very addictive.

Poo Nim Sam Rod Smile Apr 18, 2013   (Related Review)

We also ordered the poo nim sam rod, which was the soft shell crab in sweet and spicy tamarind sauce. I wanted this specifically because I thought I wouldn’t want to try the fish, but I didn’t regret getting this. The fresh soft shell crab was fried to golden perfection, crunchy and not too oily. Bathed in the tamarind sauce, the sweetness and spiciness complemented the soft shell crab. Priced at RM32 for a regular portion, it was definitely well worth the money paid.
