Wet Fried Rice Cry Jul 31, 2012   (Related Review)

Rama V Thai Style Fried Rice

Rama V Thai Style Fried Rice

Instead of white rice, we opted for Rama V Thai Style Fried Rice. First of all, the prawns were really huge and fresh. For a big prawn lover like me, I was most delighted to have them all to myself. However, the fried rice was a little wet to my liking. I like my fried rice dry and eggy. The rice wasn't fluffy due to the wetness and thus less enjoyable than Chinese style fried rice.

 Rice Roll with Shrimps

Rice Roll with Shrimps

I like my rice roll thin but Sheraton's rendition of rice roll was thicker than what I prefer it to be. The skin was a little rough, which could be intentional so it can trap sauces. However the soy sauce was very fragrant and flavorful, and I like the sambal chili which enhanced the flavor to another level. Since Celestial Court is pork free, we decided against chicken and chose shrimps rice roll and the shrimps were very fresh.

Blue Pistachio Almond? Cry Jul 29, 2012

Pistachio Almond

Pistachio Almond

It was my first time trying pistachio almond. To be frank, it is an acquired taste. Personally I did not like the almond taste in my ice cream but yes, I do eat almonds on its own or as garnish for salads or dishes. Apart from the taste of almond, I found almonds here and there in the ice cream. The taste of pistachio was less prevalent compared to the almond taste. Another thing was the color of ice cream resembled some chemical color. Shouldn't it be green?

Thosai Telur Rava [RM2.50]

Thosai Telur Rava [RM2.50]

Having an egg in the morning sounds like a good start of the day. Instead of having roti canai, I opted for thosai due to the marvelous experience with Thosai Chicken Masala Rava. The thosai had some parts which was paper thin and crispy while some parts which was thicker and slightly soggy. The distribution of the egg was not ideal and flavor wise, it did not taste as eggy as I would like it to be. The flavor was rather mild and I would recommend you to go with kuah and/or sambal.

Say Cheese :( Cry Jul 29, 2012

Say Cheese

Say Cheese

If you were thinking to try their basic burger like me, I would advise you not to do so. The bun used here was rather unique. It resembled charcoal bun which you might associate with dry bun. Fear not, it was quite moistened and soft but I found it too thick. The size of the burger was decent for ladies.

The beef patty is made of consistent meat chunks. I appreciated the less fat proportion used for the patty but it was too dry when I ate it with the bun. The beef patty was not as flavorful, which was complemented by the cheese. However, the whole burger was very very dry. Hence the lack of enjoyment.
