just ...pie Smile Jul 11, 2012

I'm personally not a big fan of pastries, because what comes to mind is stale hard, unappetizing looking bread.

However, I found Just Pie to be good.

As you can see, just pie isn't your conventional pies. It has different symbols on top, which represents different flavours. They have apple pie, which I find warm and not too mushy, with a reasonable amount of apple chunks (The smallest 1).

The other flavours they have include chicken bbq, chicken black pepper etc. I like the bbq chicken as you can taste the juicy tender chicken with the bbq flavour, and the pastry is not too thickly coated that you're just eating bread. Lovely. smile

Ben's @ Publika Smile Jul 11, 2012

ben's at Publika was one of my first attempts going so far just for food. But what can I say? It's really , really worth it!

The Shepherd's pie. The shepherd's pie(RM18.90) was just delicious, with soft melt-in-your-mouth pastry and chunks of meat that was tender and juicy. Definitely a must try. A special mention about the salad at the side - It is out of the world, and if you're a salad lover this is a must try. It has a special sauce, and has raisins stuff that makes it taste just awesome. A dish worth its price.

I especially love the chicken salad , which comes with turkey ham. It has a generous portion of tender, soft breast meat that is not bland at all. The turkey ham is also chunky and crunchy, that is lovely to taste. smile

For a concept restaurant, I think Little pantry does very very well. It is warmly designed, and its food is also exquisite. lol

I LOVE the hot chocolate there. Reminds you of spiderman? The counter for drinks put the hot syrup and made it look like a spiderweb. The hot chocolate is RM8.90, and is thick, not unlike thick milo. It is sweet but not overly sickening sweet, and its froth also tastes as delicious as it looks lol

The blueberry cheesecake (RM8.90) is also HEAVENLY. Its blueberry filling is just nice, not too sweet, not under. The chocolate piece at the top just adds a lovely twist to the flavour. The icing is not too much as you can see, and it made for a lovely tea. smile

Hong Kee Smile Jul 11, 2012

As a chinese, I really love dimsum. Pork Dimsum always has a creamy flavour that is uncontestable. lol

At Kong Kee Restaurant, you'll be spoilt for choice as they have a dozen varieties of dimsum to appease your palate.

The siew mai here is delicious. Apart from its tender meat, there is crab stick on the top. Its a healthier alternative than fish eggs, that is higher in cholesterol. Their pastry is just nice, not too soft that it falls off, and melts in the mouth and sends a warm feeling into your tummy lol

Sushi King @ Tesco Puchong Smile Jun 25, 2012

Sushi King is a small place that is always full with people. Its kaitan belt sushi is its specialty.

I think I love their unagi rice the most. Their unagi is well marinated, no bones. Its called eel in english. Coupled with the brown sauce, its delicious on every bite, and the healthy japanese rice just conplements it.

The mayo-fried-chicken pieces with rice is also not too bad. You know anything that comes with mayonnaise always gives it the extra kick lol
