Also known as deer meat soup. The soup was filled with black pepper flavor, and slightly sweet, like typical nourishing soup.
Very aromatic because a lot of coriander was added..
Besides, the deer meat was very tender and soft.
You can also find chunks of potatoes and carrots in the soup too... It's very appetizing and delectable.
Somewhat mouth-watering soup dish I would say.

Balitong masak lemak Chili Padi Smile Jul 27, 2012

Balitong masak lemak Chili Padi - balitong (a kind of Malaysian sea snails) was cook in coconut milk, and green curry paste, together with bird's eye chili. The gravy is very spicy, you can feel the after-burning sensation lingering on your tongue after you had a sample of it.

I like balitong because of the weird taste and then you sucky sucky it then the juicy meat shoots into your mouth. The meat is slightly chewy and the gravy can use to eat with other things like rice..
the thought of this sweet and savory curry never fails to make my mouth water.

Very pure, thick and aromatic soup based.. loads of shrimp paste sauce is all I can taste..
Also, I found a lot of shredded cucumber, pineapple, onion and fish meat in the soup too!!
The noodles were springy and bouncy, I love the gooeyness of the noodle (aka lai fun)..
Very appetizing because the sourish and spicy soup actually tingle my palate, and triggers the production of stomach acid , making me feel more hungrier! ;D

To rry a delicious Char koay Teow is not a simple task... you must have a skillful hand and technique, with charred wok, in order to fry a fragrant and full of 'wok hei' kuey teow'....
The char koay teow here taste undeniably delicious, because I can smell from my tongue, it was laden with lard ... No joke, it was super addictive and delicious, with semi-cooked egg... and cockles and prawns..
Definitely one of the good one in Penang!

Roti Canai Smile Jul 27, 2012

Penang offers the best sambal I must say, everywhere you go, you can certainly get nice sambal or chili paste...
likewise, the roti canai at Lorong abu siti, where you sit along the road, facing the main road to eat your roti canai gives you different feeling. The roti canai wasn't very fluffy or delicious, but the sambal definitely win my heart.. it was sweet, and not too spicy, with a lot of ikan bilis flavor inside...
The signature condiment will be the vinegar-marinated-pinkish onion.. It was sourish and crunchy, it gives an extra crunch to the roti canai.. yummyy!!!
