I found it quite dissappointing for the food here . New paris is a well known restaurant for the past decades and it's been more than a year I didn't visit this place.
I miss their Yam Basket so much. . .
When our dish arrives, clear as you can see, it's not presentable at all. the mixed vege were simply scattered around the yam basket.. and the gravy was overflowed.
The yam basket is no longer crispy, I was filled with disgust when having this 'soggy' and 'mushy' yam basket.

The vege was typically acceptable, although it taste very bland.

I love the cheese, nothing's wrong with the cheesy, creamy sinful cheese, but the ham just makes everything taste, weird.

The feta cheese salad was a disaster. Loads of mayonnaise (fattening) and cheese coated with it!!!
Very sinful one, yet I think it's delicious.
The papaya salad, suppose to be a healthy version salad, yet it was laden with thousand island , or some sort of fattening sauce... ;(

I would prefer it to be drizzle with olive oil or some italian dressing. ;(

The cold appetizer such as raw salmon , was not very fresh... I can literally taste the 'fishy' taste and no longer fresh , dull flavor in the fish.. as clear as you can see, the color of the salmon starting to turn black too.
The mussle was okay, acceptable, it wasn't very rubbery, and that's what I like, (so that I am able to chew it).. The earth flavor can simply settle by squeezing a little bit lemon on it. The prawns were sadly, not fresh too.. the meat started to turn mushy and the shell was attaching the flesh when I wanted to peel them...
hmm.. ;( overall can be improve.

Briyani Gam Kambing

The roasted lamb meat was tough and dry, unlike what I expected.
Maybe I set my expectation too high and end up disappointing myself.
I think they over roasted the lamb ..the outer skin was dry and the inner part of the meat was rough and hard to bite..

I was very unsatisfied with the lamb they served here. It should be better since it's a 4star hotel..

In TGIF , you will find the best steak and chop, but not mushroom soup.
I wasn't having high expectation because I already knew the soup wouldn't taste good, I judge by it's appearance. (honestly)..

So, it was thick, but as sharp as my palate can taste, it was thicken with corn starch, mushroom flavor wasn't intense enough ... Not creamy, but starchy. It was totally tasteless, to me.

The pineapple juice was bad too. It's just simply pineapple in the canned, the blend it with extra coarse ice..
and they charge for RM10 per glass. ;(
