My friend wanted to have a good coffee
before our movie “Inside Out” and she commented POKC serves delicious coffee
with amazing Hainanese Bread. Therefore, we went there for coffee and Hainanese
Bread as we are already in Damansara Utama for Dessert. They serve varieties of
foods to suite the taste buds of young to old generations. The ambiance of the
restaurant was modern, classy and very good for photo session. They have 2
types seating option for the customers (Ground floor and 1st Floor).
We choose 1st floor to dine-in as it more private and we can take
our own sweet time to enjoy the food. We ordered 2 Flat white and Hainanese
Bread.

Flat White was smooth and has a rich coffee flavour. It has a very good coffee art.

Flat White @ RM 10

Hainanese Bread was perfectly toasted and it was served with vegetables and minced pork in between the Toast. Delicious!! (They just need to lower the oil used in the toast, as it was a bit oily for me).

Hainanese Bread @ RM 17.90

It was a delicious dinner for us before movie. The foods are good just they need to reduce the oil in the toast to make it healthier. Good and friendly service by the staff.

Every Sundae - by Cielo Dolci OK Sep 29, 2015

Categories : Western variety | Café | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

I wanted to treat myself a dessert after 2
weeks of stressful preparation for exam. Salted Caramel, Butterscotch, Belgium
Waffle and Cotton Candy are my soul mates and if all of this is served in Every
Sundae by Cielodolci that would be my favourite hangout place for dessert. The
Ice-Cream Parlour was cosy and comfortable. We are welcomed by the staff upon
entering the cafe and served with the menu once we are seated. Young guy
(Waiter) patiently explained us about the menu and the ordering process. You
have to choose you own base+ Ice Cream+ Topping and Sauce for your Ice Cream. Moreover, you have to order and pay at the
counter then the food will be served on your table.

It was a Belgium Waffle placed above a layer of Cotton Cloud with salted caramel and sizzled with butterscotch. Salted Caramel flavour from the Ice- Cream and the sweetness from the Butterscotch were divine. It was a great combination for me. Just dip the cotton Cloud in the Ice cream will make you go crazy for it. I fell in love with them.

Belgium Waffle @ RM 17 (Salted Caramel @ RM 9+ Cotton Cloud @ RM 2+ Butterscotch @ RM 1)

Overall, it was too good dessert for me, it magically released my stress, and I am back to my happy mood. Yummy Ice Cream with friendly and humble service. Good place for dessert and it is not crowded as it was weekday. Any good recommendation for Salted Caramel Ice-Cream? Please Let Me Know. I Love Them!!!

Sushi Mentai @ SS2 OK Sep 29, 2015

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant

Whenever we pass by the restaurant we
always see it’s crowded with people. Therefore we planned to go Sushi Mentai for
dinner to try it out ourselves. The restaurant offers wide varieties of
Sushi’s. They only have 2 types of price for the Sushi, Yellow Plate (RM 1.80)
while Red Plate (RM 2.80). The restaurant was filling up quickly for dinner
with customers therefore be early if you wanted to sit nearby the Convey Belt. We
eat 11 plates of Sushi’s (4 Person).

The Sushi’s are tasted okay for the price we paid and we loved the Tamago Mentai, Inari and Ikura Sushi and other than that, they are all just tasted mediocre.

Overall, it was okay dinner for us as the foods are okay, not something extraordinary but it is worth for what we paid.

Me and my sister wanted to have Tom Yum for
dinner therefore I asked my best freind Mr. Google to recommend Best Tom Yum in
PJ and it recommended an article about 10 Best Tom Yum PJ. After going through
their location, I choose Restaurant Vichuda Tom Yum & Seafood, as it is easy
for us to drop by for a quick dinner and can back early to study for exam.
Restaurant Vichuda Tom Yum & Seafood is located at Damansara Uptown (Next
to Epicuro). The restaurant uses a similar concept of a Chinese seafood
restaurant that offers varieties of Seafood choices to the customers. The
restaurant was filling up quickly for dinner after 7pm so be early. I ordered
Tom Yum Soup (S), Telur Bistik (S), Stir Fried Kangkung with salted fish (S) 2 White
Rice and Limau ice.

Limau Ice was a bit too sourish for me and need to add some sugar to taste better.

Complimentary Cucumber with sambal for the customers. Just dip the cucumber in the Sambal and enjoy it. Really, have the “Oomph & spicy taste.”

Telur Brisket was my sister recommendation and it tasted yummy. The fried egg was placed below the plate and it was topped with sauce, carrot, corn, onion and peas. The sauce was heaven and you just can eat it together with the rice. Yummy!!

Stir fried Kangkung with salted fish was fresh and rich with salted fish taste.

Tom Yum was a clear soup and it tasted okay okay . The lemongrass taste overpowers the Tom Yum flavour.

White Rice

It was an okay okay dinner for us. The food was good expect the Tom Yum Soup don’t have the “Oomph” taste we are looking for and they just added too many lemongrasses in it. Moreover, the ambiance was a bit run down and it really needed some improvement to attract more customers to dine-in. Maybe can dine-in once but for a second visit I need to think twice. The total bill was RM 21 for the foods and drink.

Since there is a sudden craving for Char
Kuay Teow, we planned to drop by Restaurant Hock Seng Two for lunch as it also
recommended by Mr. Google for their Char Kuay Teow. The restaurant sells a wide
Varity of foods likes Curry Mee, Wantan Noodle, Chicken Rice, Chee Cheong Fun,
Claypot Yee Mee, Economy Rice, Chicken Rice and Char Kuay Teow. The restaurant
was crowded with people when we arrived but the crowd started to slow down
around 3pm as most of the stalls starts to close their stall. We ordered 2 Char
Kuay Teow and Claypot Yee Mee.

Char Kuay Teow was served with generous
amount of Prawn, Taugeh and Kerang and the best thing is the Char Kuay Teow
tasted so delicious that you don’t need any seasoning to eat with it. I loved
them.

Clay pot Yee Mee was served with crabstick, fish balls, vegetables, and egg. They have a good yee mee flavour in the soup but it needs some chillies to give a kick to the food.

It was a nice & hot lunch for us. We have to park our car at the other end of the road since we cannot find a car parking nearby and have to walk under the HOT sun for 10 minutes. The foods are served quick and reasonably priced. It can be a good place for a quick lunch if you manage to find car parking nearby without roaming for it. The total bill for the food was RM 18.50
