Roti Bom. My dad used to order Roti Biasa but that day when he flipped through the menu, he ordered a Roti Bom instead. We waited quite a while for this roti bom, and have high anticipation. However, when it arrived, the presentation looked very bad: the roti has a hole in between. This is my first time seeing roti bom like that instead of the usual round thick shape. It was not garing enough. Totally a let-down.

Chicken slices. There were three types of meat being offered: beef, lamb and chicken. I already heard that the chicken was not too good as compared to the beef and lamb slices, so I only ordered one plate just to try. Indeed, the meat was quite rough although it was being cut thinly. The texture was dry and all of us do not enjoy it. The meat was sweet but it does not help the coarse texture.

Rice noodle rolls with turnip and dried shrimps. This dish was a big dish, it came with 2 rolls of rice noodle. Inside the rice noodle was the turnip strips and dried shrimps. The dried shrimps smell was so strong till it covered up the whole taste. I could only slightly taste the sweetness of the turnip strips. The rice noodles were quite hard and thick layer, which I do not prefer.

Ice honey lemon. The drink came with 3 thin slices of lemon. When my partner took a sip, he squeezed his face. So, I took a sip too. The drink was extremely bitter and it left a bitter taste in the throat. The bitterness came from the lemon skin. The amount of honey was so little that it didn’t help to mediate the bitterness. It does not have a tiny bit of sweetness in it.

Vegetarian roast duck. I took a piece of vegetarian roast duck ("zhai siu ngor"). When I bite it, the texture was so hard. So I chose the lighter color parts to bite off, not too easily but it can be bitten off. The texture was chewy and not crispy at all. The darker part I faced much difficulties to bite it off. Although the taste was not too salty, but the texture was a no-no for me.
