Cheap and nice spaghetti Smile Jul 31, 2012

This is a cheap and nice Western stall located in a kopitiam. The man handles the stall himself and it's very clean plus he's friendly.

I actually had this on a weekly basis and still eat it regularly. It's only RM 5 for the spaghetti which is cheap for the portion. The sauce is full of meat and carrots. Really tasty..! We usually ask for bacons (50 cents for a big one), homemade patties and sausages. They're homemade so they're not like those from the supermarkets. It's soft and you can feel the piece of meat inside.

Dragon beard candy Smile Jul 31, 2012

It was my first time hearing about this 'lung sou tong' or Dragon Beard Candy. The way to make it is so amazing! It's a mixture of sugar syrup thingy with flour which is pulled again and again until it forms really fine strands. When you put it into your mouth, the warmth melts the strands in your mouth, turning sticky and chewy. You can choose between sweet sesame or peanut paste for the filling.

Steak Smile Jul 28, 2012   (Related Review)

Unfortunately, I do not recall which part of the cow this is but it is a medium cooked/medium rare steak with pickled salad and cheese on the side. The portion of the dish is not huge but paired with some side orders, it is enough to fill your tummy. The steak itself was not overcooked nor too raw. The inside was still juicy, a little salty and with a slight hint of the blood. The Wagyu tasted much better than this though.

Carbonara Smile Jul 27, 2012   (Related Review)

This is a plate of carbonara spaghetti, laden with mushrooms and ham then topped with red cabbage. Surprisingly, the pungent red cabbage, creamy carbonara sauce, mushrooms and meaty taste of the ham went well together.

As though the big portion was not enough, the creaminess of this was too much to handle. We could not finish the whole plate. I do prefer a carbonara that is less heavy.

Spaghetti Marinara Smile Jul 27, 2012

Environment at Fullhouse is beautiful as always. Love how they decorated the place to look so sweet and pretty, with grass, fences, mirrors, swings and 'English furniture'.

The portion of their pasta is big and I almost could not fit everything into my tummy. The spaghetti marinara comes with a mussel and several big juicy prawns which were all fresh. Tomato sauce is good, slightly sour and with chunks of tomatoes.
