Superb chicken pie Smile Apr 24, 2014

Drove to Lintas, just to look for Kedai Kopi 33.

Initially, my friend and I thought of to just try their polo bun with butter.... and I spotted something from online review.

The chicken pie is a must try from this coffee shop. It had a flavourful taste when you are chewing the chicken pie in your mouth and you would not forget about the taste ever since. It is not similar to char siu sou as this do not have black souce in the ingredient. The chicken meat was so tender that you would like to order another chicken pie although you had had your lunch.

The polo bun was fine, in which I prefer the bun to be warmer and in between there is a slice of cold butter for better blending.

Worth to drive over to have your tea time here, get the polo bun with butter and don't forget the awesome chicken pie.

Random morning breaks OK Apr 24, 2014

While walking along the Gaya Street Market, you will bump into this coffee shop.

It is too noticeable that you might find yourself hard to get a place, although the turn-around time is quite fast.

They served a variety of foods, and one of the which is being mostly discussed is the laksa. The other available foods which I did not try, but you can see it at the menu board (ngau chap, claypot chicken rice, and vegetables)

I ordered one laksa to try and also iceberg lettuce with oyster sauce as I did not have enough vegetables. The laksa is quite similar to Sarawak laksa, in which I find that Sarawak laksa is tastier (my own preferences). This laksa for me, is quite blanc and even with a spoonful chilli paste added into the soup, the aroma or the taste for laksa was not being picked up. For those whom have not tried this laksa before, you might want to try for a first time, but after that you might not want to revisit the place for the same laksa as it really do not carry a 'wow' factor.

Seafood dinner OK Apr 24, 2014

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

Visited this seafood dining place, due to the availability until late night, spacious and also near to the hotel that I had stayed.

The overall foods were not bad, but not the the extend of good food.

The only fresh and tasty seafood that was served to me was the cantonese style steam fish (with soy sauce and ginger); still no spring onion or chinese parsley given. The steam grouper was the only acceptable fresh seafood from my visit here. The steam prawns dish was a total disappointment. The prawns were not fresh, some has some stinky smell when you remove the head (i guess these prawns were really not fresh at all). They should have had served fresh prawns for steam method as steam can reveal all the freshness of the seafood and if it is not fresh, the stinky odour will be overpowering the dish.

The fiied Sabah vege with chilli belacan was fine, but lack of the "wok" qi. My friend tried the dong feng luo (mollucs) before and it was fine for a person whom did not fancy shellfish.

Recommended Dish(es):  steam grouper

Terrified breakfast Cry Apr 25, 2014

Drove to look for fish noodles at 88 market place, and a friend of mine had tried this shop before get us there.

My friend initial order for fish noodles was fried fish with konlou noodles. Guess what? The noodles came as soup noodles and not fried fish. We are rushing so we did not made any complaint to change the fish noodles. I ordered just fish meat only. Mix grouper fish meat without noodles, just to try out the deep sea fish meat. WTF! The first bite of the fish was fishy and stinky, and not to forget the fish scales that were still attached to the skin. At that moment, I suspected that they served us overnight fish meat, in which they didn't sold out the night before, and that meal which we had was at morning around 9am. Heck! I would not step into this shop again for the stinky and fishy fish meat taste still fresh in my mind!
