Smile Feb 03, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Smile Jan 31, 2013

Sweet dinner  Smile Jan 24, 2013
Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

The best dessert to wrap up your dinner.
It was per-cooked, so the sugar level couldn't be adjusted by your own delight.

Mashed purple sweet potato added as extra topping. Sweet, not a complete mashed ball, left something for you to nibble on.
Warm served, no worried for the possibility of scalding your tongue. A rich and thick broth, soften red bean but still retain the chewiness.

the addition of sticky purple rice gives it a luxurious deep claret richness and slightly nutty taste.
serving bowl still remained the dirty stain, clearly proven their staff wasn't trained rightly. Imperfection of hiring foreign worker.

Ya mi , Ya mi Smile Jan 22, 2013

Categories : Stall / Warung | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

My first ever gelato, I had fall in love to its silky smooth and creamy texture.
Unlike ice cream, gelato is very dense because there is no air added into it. Besides, gelato actually had much less butter fat because it made from milk.

Choice of the day:
chocolate and Dolci latte flavor with ice cream cone.

Can you see? The portion was pretty gigantic! Definitely worth your penny.
Gelato - Small (rm9)

Gelato - Small (rm9)

Chocolate was a bit dense but superbly smooth and creamy.
Dolci latte was a caramel flavor gelato, the best ice cream that I had so far. Taste sweet, while the inside was mixed with caramel crunch and hazelnuts, giving different texture in one mouthful.

Dim sum - round 2 Smile Jan 17, 2013

Ji Wo Bao (鸡窝包)

Ji Wo Bao (鸡窝包)

the outer layer is the Bao skin (steamed dough), inside it contains “Lor Mai Kai” (the glutinous rice with chicken and mushroom), with the “Char Siow” (BBQ pork) and salted egg york. Hot served, the sticky rice was pleasantly soft and chewy. Seasoning of the Lor Mai Gai was so relish with hints of sweetness.

Fluffy and pillowy steam bun with lots of yam filling. .
Yam bun

Yam bun

smooth, silky texture and unmistakable aroma of yam, importantly it not sweet at all!!
