Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 在很多商场里面都开有分店,每次经过的时候我都看到长长的人龙在店前面,排队等待购买新鲜出炉的日式乳酪蛋糕。

其实这并不难理解,因为每当有新的一批乳酪蛋糕出炉的时候,那芝士的香气总是飘散在四周,想必这应该是吸引人潮的其中一个原因吧!

 
今天我应 Openrice 之邀来到 IOI City Mall 的 Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake,准备尝尝它们的招牌日式轻乳酪蛋糕和其他新的产品。

记得上一次莅临 IOI City Mall 是在它刚开业的时候,很多商店都还没有开始营业,整个商场空荡荡的。想不到过了半年时间,这里已经变得人潮汹涌,接近圣诞节假日就更是热闹了。

 
这里的 Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 才刚刚开业一个多月,位于集中了不少餐厅和美食的 LG 楼层。抵达的时候,凑巧有新一批的蛋糕出炉,每一颗都有均匀的色泽,还发出诱人的芝士香气,对于我这个芝士的超级粉丝来说,这一刻真恨不得可以就这样嗑一颗!Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 的芝士蛋糕每天现做现卖,保证新鲜。热腾腾出炉的蛋糕,在包装方面要格外留意,一不小心就会让水蒸气把蛋糕弄糊了。在这方面 Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 一点都不马虎,除了让出炉的蛋糕在外放凉之外,包装的时候还会铺上一张透气的棉纸,可以让热气散发出去,也可以阻隔水蒸气倒流到蛋糕的表面。

从商场把蛋糕带回家,外观还是美美的,还带着一点余温。

店里最受欢迎的就是他们的招牌芝士蛋糕,采用了最新鲜和上等的材料,每天新鲜制作。一般上芝士蛋糕都是冷藏后再吃,但是 Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 可不一样。这蛋糕适合热吃,蛋糕在嘴巴里就好像棉花糖那样化开,留下满口芝士香。

有没有注意到,配合圣诞节,Uncle Tetsu 也拉着麋鹿坐雪橇啦~

 
The Signature Chocolate Cheesecake - RM21

除了原味芝士蛋糕之外,最近还推出了新口味 - 巧克力芝士蛋糕。巧克力的味道很香浓,不会太甜,感觉蛋糕在嘴里融化,释放出浓浓的巧克力味的感觉好棒!真心推荐给喜欢巧克力的朋友哦!

 
因为没加防腐剂,蛋糕一般上只可以耐三天。冷藏后的口感会变得比较结实,和做好当天吃的松软口感大不相同,我喜欢新鲜的松软感觉,某人则偏好冷藏后的结实口感。

 
Cheese Zuccotto (Hat Series) - RM21.90

想要同时拥有冷藏及松软的感觉也不是没有办法,Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 的另一个人气商品 Cheese Zuccotto 就是属于适合冷吃的芝士蛋糕。半圆的外形就好像圆帽子一样,所以也被称为 Hat Series,有原味、巧克力和草莓三种口味。

 
Cheese Zuccotto 的口感比较湿润,芝士味比较浓,经过冷藏之后还是一样松软可口。

 
Cheese stick - RM8.50

店里还有另一款很适合当小吃的 Cheese stick,是由 Cheese Zuccotto 切成条状,然后经过烘烤而成的。芝士条以120摄氏度反复烘烤3小时,确保每一面都烘烤均匀。

 
咬下一口 cheese stick,那酥脆的口感的确有让我惊喜到。芝士条里头的组织很绵密,吃进嘴里会有那种慢慢融化的感觉,而且和芝士蛋糕一样带着浓浓的芝士香味。

每一盒 cheese stick 里面都混合了原味、巧克力和草莓这三种口味,我觉得这很适合在逛街的时候当小吃呢!

喜欢芝士的朋友可不要错过 Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake 的各种日式乳酪蛋糕,那松软蓬松的口感会让你一试就爱上!

Docking at Fahrenheit 88's new Grand Harbour for all-day dim sum with a distinctive difference.

 
Novelties here include animal-themed creations like shrimp dumplings topped with quail eggs ...

 
... super-cute swan-shaped puff pastry stuffed with thick durian paste (RM8.80+) ...

 
... & mice-like glutinous rice balls (RM7.80+) filled with custard & flaked with coconut.

 
Bun as teapot (RM6.80+), teeming with steaming-hot egg yolk cream.

 
Pumpkin pastry (RM6.80+), crisp on the outside, velvety-golden within.

 
Grand Harbour's a safe port for pork; the siu yok here is exactly the way we like it ...

 
... though the char siew & roast duck might seem unmemorable. Good but not great.

Room Eighteen is a restaurant under the management of Tai Thong Group which sells a variety of Hong Kong cuisines and dim sums. Today, I packed their famous custard buns and egg tarts home to eat as my supper.

 
Custard bun (RM 5.80)
One set of custard buns consisted of 3 medium sized soft buns.

 
The custard buns' fillings consisted of a paste made from egg yolk and sweet custard. Remember to eat the buns when they are hot as the fillings will flow out from the bun and melts in the mouth. Super creamy and rich in egg yolk taste. One bun is never enough for me, thus I ate all three in one go. Extremely full after consuming all the buns.

 

 
Crispy egg tart (RM 4.30)
One set of egg tart consisted of two egg tarts.

 
The pastry is quite flaky and crispy but I don't really like the pastry because I find it a bit thick.

 
The egg custard is soft, smooth and runny and melts in the mouth. And the best part is the egg custard is not really sweet, just right for me.....Yummy yummy....

Total damage including 6 % tax = RM 10.70

The uhuhu cheesecake were more or less the same flavor, it was just the topping that makes them differ from others'.
nothing to shout about, the cake were typically soft and , not very strong pungency of cheese flavor, more like a cotton cheese cake... ;) None of them are impressive.

The fromage bun was the most expensive bun in The Loaf because it took a lot of time in the preparation process and also , consist a lot of expensive nuts and other ingredients to make such high-end bun.
It cost RM20 per loaf.
It consist of cream cheese, walnuts, apricot, pecan and etc...
The outer layer of the fromage is super chewy, and tough!!!!! But i love it , it goes very well with coffee.

The kiosk stall which is located on Tokyo Street at Pavillion (Level 6) has a display counter and you can watch your wagashi being prepared.

 
Wagashi is actually hot cakes adorned with an assortment of yummy fillings.

 
The paper bag for packing the take-away wagashi is cute with a cartoon girl figure which is the logo for this stall.

This was how the wagashi looks like served.

 
The filling I chose was Belgium Chocolate with cream. The wagashi is best eaten hot although when cool, it taste just like Japanese sweet cakes, texture is still soft but the cream has melted inside. I could taste the chocolate which was a bit bitter and it was not too sweet. Really loved the crunchy taste of the crust. Will try other flavours soon.
