1. Cloud 9 Cafe @ Bandar Utama IJM

To all the coffee lovers, if you drop by at Bandar Utama IJM, don’t miss the opportunity to try out this new cafe - Cloud 9 Café! The business hour of this café in Sandakan is start from daily 12pm to midnight except Monday. For Afternoon tea time, you can have a slice of cake and add on with a cup of coffee here or if you feel thirsty, you can grab an ice-cream from their cafe as well! They have many types of desserts waiting for you to try such as cakes, ice-cream and coffees.

2. Urban Cafe @ Bandar Utama

Urban Café in Sandakan serves great coffee and cakes too. While they have something different here – cakes are fruit based type and Mango Float is recommended too! Besides, the cake is made of layers of soft cookies and some butter and fruit slices that make it such a good texture!

3. Kedai Yap Syn Kee

Have you tried this Grass Jelly with Evaporated Milk and Syrup drink? This coffee shop had been Sandakan for generations, Kedai Yap Syn Kee is it! More than 70 years of history, their grass jellies are huge and chewy with good evaporated milk and syrup – indeed refreshing and thirst quenching!

4. Nam Chai Bak Kut Teh Restaurant 南财肉骨茶

Perhaps, you have been tried before the famous Bah Kut Teh in Klang or any other places, but have you tried before Bah Kut Teh with seafoods inside? If you the fans of seafoods and love to eat Bah Kut Teh as well, welcome you to drop by at Sandakan, Sabah! What’s unique is that they use seafood into the Bah Kut Teh which brings it to another level of eating Bah Kut Teh. Other than adding on seafood, there are options to add in the pork meat as well! If you would love to have your food spicy, try to add in spicy soup into the Bah Kut Teh that will turn out to another taste of soup! Don’t worry; this isn’t the only outlet you can find in Sandakan because they have total 3 restaurants which located at Bandar Nam Tung, Nam Chai Restaurant and another restaurant that located opposite directly from Pasar Tanah Merah.
