Glutinous rice ball with ginger. Tong Yuen has been my favourite Chinese dessert so far and I tried One Dessert's version too. The tong yuen was so big piece and it almost fully occupied the big bowl. The fillings were black sesame and indeed it was very aromatic and slightly bitter. The tong yuen was thick, soft and sticky texture. The ginger syrup was gingerly spicy.
