八宝袋,拿来做生日蛋糕还蛮特别的!感觉生日会变的幸运起来 XD给人第一眼的感觉就是只有外表没有内涵。但其实里面的蛋糕松软,入口即化哦!而且奶油的气味非常香!撇开外面那层的话是很好吃的!外面那层是由巧克力做成的,特别甜,不适宜吃太多会很腻。切起蛋糕来的时候是有点麻烦,但是卖相美丽的食物就是需要付出点代价啊~棠记兄弟的蛋糕总是不会让人失望 而且惊喜连连~

Tong Kee Confectionery brings back lots of sweet memories of my childhood. I start tasting my first bite of Tong Kee egg tart since young way back in the 1970's. Eating them often reminds me of the time when my parents would buy and serve it for our breakfast and tea break for decades of years. Walking into any of Tong Kee outlets, we will be greeted by a comforting aroma of fresh egg tarts and breads. Their egg custard is very soft, creamy, juicy and the outer layer is very velvety which is fluffy and crunchy. You will experience the melt-in-the mouth sensation upon the first bite into the pastry, with its buttery and crispier texture. The pastries here are "non halal" as they used lards, bacons and hams. The Hotdog Roll is so soft and fresh until you can feel it just came out from the oven. The pastry of the Kaya Puff is very crispy and the kaya portion is just nice and is more solid type. I am very satisfy with both the bun and puff.

Tong Kee has been around for decades and well-known for it's egg tarts. Truth be told, their egg tarts are seriously the best I ever had. I love the smooth egg custard surface and the buttery, flaky texture of the crust.. so delicious with every bite! Not too sweet and taste best when they came out piping hot straight from the oven No wonder their outlet at Sri Petaling is never short of customers everytime I go. If you like your cheese cake contains less cheese flavour, this product from Tong Kee might suit your tastebud well.Personally, I like both rich and light cheese cake. This version is indeed containing light but not dissappearing cheese taste. The texture of cake is special here, which is quite difficult to describe actually- moist but with a slightly marshmallowy texture. The brown layer on top although looks normal, but it is worth mentioning as when I bite it, it has a toasty finely sliced mozzarella cheese taste plus slightly hard texture. Overall is a cheese cake with a special twist, really

It can be easily mistaken as bread texture but when you tear it apart, you can see little holes just like those in pancakes. The custard make it taste even better, as it has a fragrant vanilla plus milk taste, very smooth and thick. It is best enjoyed while it is still cold.

Each piece is just heavenly, it tastes really good! The crust is very flaky and buttery, I can still see layers by layers of pastry very clearly indicating they rolled the pastries using the right technique. The egg custard taste even better, slightly close to chawanmushi's soft texture, really soft. It does not taste too sweet, makes the egg tarts have a saying 'one is never enough!'

I love its fresh flaky crust which you can never find elsewhere and smooth egg custard which definitely not from colouring nor preservative. Not too sweet and the level of sweetness met my expectation. The baking temperature is always maintained to golden colour. The egg tart is well balanced with its crust and egg custard. Hence, I enjoyed every single bite I made. Indulgence!
