Round 1 - Rice with and mixed vegetables.
The plain rice itself was very tasty as they uses the long grain basmati rice.
Both the tandoori chicken and fish curry are equally good and tasty.
Each table will have a basket of pappadum, garlic and plain naan.

Basundi is a popular Indian dessert which is rich, thick and creamy, topped with slices of almond.
It was over-sweetened and a bit too sweet for me.

My low tolerance for extreme spiciness is often an obstacle to enjoying Indian food, but thankfully, our meal here was painfree for my tastebuds. Amritsari machli, battered fish fillets deep-fried in mustard oil. Not a healthy choice, but OK for snacking. Fish wasn't super-fresh or moist enough though. Lahori seekh, a lamb dish tinged with cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Kinda on the dry side, with not much hint of complex flavours. Garlic naan and Goan prawn curry with coconut, garlic and ginge

Garlic naan and Goan prawn curry with coconut, garlic and ginger. A very mild curry that suited us perfectly fine!

Murg Mahkani, a Punjab speciality of Amaretto-marinated and tandoor-grilled chicken tikka, simmered in tomato gravy. Decent but forgettable.

The Olive Tree is where you can find all kinds of authentic Northern Indian cuisine. Located at the hub of the city, it is a famous place and very crowded especially during office lunch hours. Most of the dishes here are colourful and aromatic. All the dishes are good, but the best thing is their assorted curry. The curry here is very exotic and gives a very distinctive flavour. It is definitely different from malaysian curry, it has richer aroma of herbs and spices but not smothered by the spicy taste. Excellent!
