This is the bento set of chicken katsu jyu that cost Rm 13.90.The bento is topped with fried chicken and cooked with egg and onions.Due to many people visiting the restaurant that day, it tooks a long time for my food to be served. The chicken already cold when it reach my tables and no longer crispy. The rice is too little and the portion of chicken is more than the rice. However the bento still taste good, they cooked with sweet sauce which blend well with the chicken and eggs.

I'd ordered this Japanese mini chicken steamboat- Chicken sukiyaki that cost RM 19.90 per set.The steamboat is in mini size and there's a small fire under the pot to keep the soup and food warm. The steamboat is good but the portion is too small, there is only very few slice of chicken can be found in the soup and it comes only with egg, tofu, 3 slice of fish meat and vegetables. The soup of the steamboat taste slightly too sweet. Other ingredient was fresh.

I love chawamushi and everytime i visit Japanese restaurant i will not miss this. There are few types of chawamushi available here and the one i ordered is the sharkfin and mushroom chawamushi that cost only RM 3.90 each. The egg is fresh and it consist of mushroom, chicken slice and crabstick inside to make the chawamushi taste more delicious. The egg is soft and smooth, filled with sweetness of ingredient contained inside. A cheap appetizer to have before starting a meal!

Sakae Sushis' Yakitori is much liked the Japanese version of Malaysian's well-knowed satay. Only difference is, the skewered chicken pieces are well marinated in teriyaki sauce, instead of peanut sauce. I love it! It's well marinated, well grilled and the teriyaki flavors came out wonderfully. You can dip it into even more teriyaki sauce, or just slightly into a bit of wasabi paste. yums

Sometimes whenever I'm feeling like something light I go for Sakae Sushi's Ramen Noodles rather than its' Udon Noodles. Ramen noodles are finer, thinner and lighter in texture and as such not as heavy on the digestion system. At Sakae Sushi the Tempura Ramen is basically lightly battered prawn tempura served in steaming hot clear soup alongside healthy doses of veges and broiled egg. I like!

As it's name aptly suggest, this is actually Sakae Sushi's version of a basic California Roll. I love it. It's actually the most basic and one of the lowest priced in the Sakae Sushi menu. Carefully wrapped in delicious savory seaweed, the fillings consists of sticky Japanese rice, crabstick, avocado, cod roes and of course, fresh seasonal lettuce. Topped it up with just a tiny bit of wasabi and you're good to go. yums

Unlike some chawan mushi which I have tasted at some other Japanese eateries which tended to be either too watery or too hardened; at Sakae Sushi they prepare their Chawan Mushi just right- exactly the way I like 'em. Flavorful, with good quality eggs and generous amounts of crab sticks, vegeterian sharks fins, mushrooms and japanese fish cakes. Steamed to perfection indeed.

I totally love the Agadashi Tofu at Sakae Sushi. You can order it either as an appetizer or as a side dish. It comes in a small portion (just 2 cubes of silken tofu) and drenched with delightful Japanese shoyu sauce. I love how they just lightly deep fried it so that there's a slightly thin layer of breaded fried sensation on the outer portion of the tofu. Super yums It's normally topped with seaweed, mushrooms and prawn. Yums

Times Square being a popular mall amongst the younger crowd; it's little wonder that this Sakae Sushi outlet there is mainly thronged by young yuppies and the student population as well It's pretty es crowded most times, and sometimes you have to queue up especially during weekends. My must-haves at Sakae Sushi are the usual- Chicken Teriyaki Bento, Grilled Saba Fish, Grilled Baby Squid, Salmon Bento, Unagi Bento and the yummy sushis

I like Sakae for many reasons. One of them is the fact that I order through an Ipad. How cool is that? The fried salmon, recently offered for lunch deal set. The waitress did not give specific instructions, we're supposed to order from the waitresses but we did not know and ended up ordering from the Ipad, and got charged the expensive rate. The salmon was nicely done, tender, flavourful with the sauce although somewhat dry without it.The teriyaki rice. I have to say that the portion is very smal

The teriyaki rice. I have to say that the portion is very small, it barely took up half a bowl
Taste wise ok, but I prefer not so much onions in it. The chicken pieces lack gravy to go with it.
