Their coffee is very aromatic, I believe it is from fine quality of grained coffee beans. The scent is quite strong, and very warm when going down my throat. I enjoy it with some crispy cookie to add more flavours. I add some sugar to make it smoother, and slightly bitter. The cup is quite big, and reasonably priced for the quality i get.

Plan B is less than a year in Bangsar, and this is my time visiting this place after it opened its new outlet at Paradigm Mall. I order a simple plate of pasta, and the service there is quite efficient, my food arrives within 15 minutes. The tomato sauce is quite light here, while the noodles are not well-cooked yet, too hard for me to chew on. Then the meat is simply juicy and it comes in a huge portion along with the noodles. The overall taste is sourish and I love it.

There are a lot of cakes and cute muffins on the tray, I am tempted to try some but my stomach leaves no space for them, so I shall leave it for the next round.

Moroccan Lamb Meatballs with Spaghetti in Smoky Eggplant and Tomato Sauce. (RM22.00)
Both of us loved this dish so much! The spaghetti was cooked to perfection with generous amount of tomato sauce that was rich, fresh, but not too sour. My girl loved the eggplant and being a kind hearted and good boyfriend, I gave her most of the eggplant. And being a soft hearted and sincere girlfriend, she let me eat four out of five meatballs.

According to their website, this modern coffee shop prides itself in its specialist coffee blend and its seasonal selection of single origin beans, all roasted and ground fresh in-house daily. Apart from the usual styles, the cafe also offers alternative brewing methods such as siphon, French Press and Pour Over. Plan B 's modern Aussie-meets-New York-deli menu boasts hearty breakfasts, contemporary salads, wholesome sandwiches made with freshly baked breads; pastas, and a variety of rustic cakes and desserts.

Apple Mint Granita (RM 9).....
Nothing special, just like ordinary apple juice but in ice blended form......

Granita (in Italian also granita siciliana) is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings.

What happened when you try to mixed up dry curry with soft shell crab and pasta? It will taste quite interesting. The portion here is quite big. The soft shell crab is best to it when it served. Because like that only remain crunchy. Once the soft shell crab soak in the sauce too long, it will become soft and not crunchy at all. The pasta is very filling and covered with the smell of cheese and curry. Quite an interesting dish.

I'm not the type of person who fancies salad, why pay over ten bucks for a bowl of veggie with dressing while I can do it at home for cheaper. The anchovies gave the dish a salty aftertaste while the croutons were crunchy enough to be eaten alone.

Plan B seems to make really good sandwiches. I've tried their salted beef sandwich before, which remains one of my favourites. Another which I've tried is their rare roast beef sandwich. Rare beef is rarely done good if the beef itself isn't of a certain quality. I'm glad to report that the beef here is indeed of sufficient quality. It is moist enough as rare beef should be, and has a bit of that blood-cow flavour, which I don't know why I find so appealing. The caramelized onions and roast peppe

The caramelized onions and roast peppers lend the sandwich the sweetness it needs, while the sharp and bitter from mustard and arugula gives the sandwich that edge it needs to pop.

I think I still prefer the salt beef sandwich, though, as good as this one is!

Delicately poached eggs with smoked salmon, served on toasted English muffin with Hollandaise sauce

It was one of the Sundays where we just feel like doing western, eggs especially. We came to Plan B, ordered these two and tap water only.

I opted for poached eggs with smoked salmon, while my boyfriend chose his with Portobello. My smoked salmon was pretty salty and flavorful, which complemented the lack of flavor of poached eggs. His portobello was rather bland but went very well with the hollandaise sauce and slight bitterness of arugula. The eggs were definitely poached well. I could literally shake the eggs and it could be broken any time

We were pretty satisfied with what was served. What could be improved on are :
- Toasted English muffin - Soft inside but crispy outside; Sliced thinner perhaps
- Arugula - Slightly wilted would sweeten the vegetable itself.

Though cutleries were given, personally I think it is best enjoy with bare hands so you can have a bite of muffin, with eggs and whatever topping you have

During weekends, be it working or non-working, we would usually head to Bangsar for brunch. Our choices would be Ben's GFS or Plan B.It wasn't until recently that we discovered more about Plan B. They serve pretty good sandwiches, which are slightly unusual and good for sharing. This should be the rare roast beef. The bread was fluffy and the meat was reasonably loaded. The beef was well seasoned and went very well with the arugula, sweet roasted pepper, and most importantly, the mustard sauce!

Another round I tried this salt beef sandwich. The bread was as good as the rare roast beef; the salt beef was pretty alot too. Made of sweet potatoes, the 3 color chips were simply lovely!

Coated with gracious amount of mustard, this was pretty similar with rare roast beef. However the saltiness was the one dominated in this dish, teased by the sourish mustard sauce. The combination was delightful when you ate it with the gherkin served.

Overall, for the price RM25 +/- for sharing for two pax, it was pretty good deal! Most importantly, it was relatively healthy.
