it was so good to the extent that i would literally dip all the fries inside the pasta sauce. the Singapore Chili Crab spaghettini comes with a hint of lime. reminded me so much of our local laksa which tasted tangy and spicy at the same time. Never knew that the sauce could go so well with the pasta. However, the Malaysian Corned Beef Rendang Wafflewich was quite a disappointment as it was very dry on the exterior but the salad that came with it was very flavourful. We chose Salted Egg Yolk sauce for the Skin on Fries to share but also, the sauce provided was too little, so we didn't end up finishing it.

service could be abit more prompt next time.

We had to skip the desserts that night as the selections offered was not impressive.
That aside, the savouries itself were really satisfying.

Everything with salted egg yolk sauce seems all the rage now, with creations coming up in pastas and now as dippings to go with fries.
I also managed to sample their skin on fries with a selection of dipping, my choice of salted egg yolk sauce. The saltiness was not overwhelming at all, but the portion was too little to have it all with the fries.

The Italian Iced Coffee was refreshing and thirst-quenching to the heat.

After dinner, the girls and I wanted some sweet treat while we got some time to catch up on all that's happened in our lives. Since we were already in Bangsar Village, the automatic suggestion was Plan B.

Not too great of a greeting since we waited almost five minutes at the entrance where there's a sign that says 'please wait to be seated'. However nobody came until we led ourselves to an empty table where it took another five minutes just to get a waiter's attention so we could have a menu.

Maybe because it was slightly late so the staff are all busy doing I don't know what, but I hardly saw any waiters around. That's why it took us another five minutes to get our orders placed. Luckily we were only there for their desserts which are already pre-made anyway or else we'd be there till midnight and still not be able to get our sweet treats.

We ordered two to share. First is the Apple Crumble that came with a scoop of ice cream and while it was warm, this was not the best that there is in the market. Though I do like the crunch on top of the crumble which proved as a nice contrast to the mushed up apple filling. The only thing is I found it overly sweet before even taking a bite of crumble with an ice cream, so slightly disappointing.

Then we also got another dessert which was their Lemon Meringue tart which happens to be my favourite. Although they do do this justice as the curd was tart enough but the pastry shell was slightly hard and might be because it's been sitting in the fridge for a while. The meringue on the top was properly bruleed but lacked any distinct flavour so it was just meh.

Overall, I like coming to Plan B just to hang and grab a coffee, but that is about it.

We were in Bangsar Village are for dinner. I was wondering what to eat. My friend brought me to Plan B and that was exactly the place I have always wondered why many people go there when all they are known for is just pasta. My friend recommended I try the Spicy Spaghettilini. It was a tad too oily for me with just a few miserable pieces flakes of duck and dried chilli. That is all! To me, it was not worth the money spent there at all. I love the Wild Mushroom Soup a lot. There were a lot of mushroom chunks in the soup and it was not as diluted and milky as the one at Pizza Hut which is more like cream plus a lot of water! No wonder the mushroom soup costs RM 13 whereas the one at Pizza Hut costs about RM 5-6.

The Watermelon Lychee Freeze Drink (RM 8) was quite tasty. I liked the blend of both fruits.

The place near the back was a too hot for my friend. He was seriously perspiring so much.

Looks like something that would be typically served at Pasta Zanmai, doesn't it? The soft shell crab is very crispy, but I find that it's more batter and soft shell rather than meat. The pasta is plenty but tastes very uninspired - just lots of plain cream taste.

the way they present the food is berry western. like one you’ll get in Aussie or New York.

the boyf said this was good. the portion was a tad small though. the onion rings can totally be forgone.

Asian-Style Golden Softshelled Crab Pasta | RM22
spaghetti drenched in creamy butter sauce with chilli padi, crispy curry leaves, pinches of chilli flakes, topped with softshelled crab. it was a recommendation from the waiter. the flavour is a bit playful. creamy with a tinge of spiciness.

this dish comes with zucchini, celery sticks, and a blue cheese dip. wings were good yet sinful. cos there’s a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl :/

will definitely pop by for their eggs benedict!

The food is somewhat palatable and the entire package of food and ambience is great with the entire perfect aura to capture audiences with gastronomy interests. In almost all restaurants or cafes, a great starter is always the Mushroom soup. Here in plan b, it is not any different and as a matter of fact, the thick texture of mushrooms did perk up the taste bud.

For salads, the Soft-Shell Crab Salad is amazingly breath taking with those crunchy green apples, watercress, cucumber and harissa mayo at RM 20. Soft shell crabs have got heavier taste and flavours so those refreshing leaves compliments really well with those mild sweet flavour, as well as the crunchy texture from the apples. Not to forget how those green apples also carry slight sour flavour to the salad.

When not intending to go for heavy meals, the pie would be a great choice at RM 22. Don’t think pies won’t be filling as the Moroccan Lamb Pie hits the palate with a profound Moroccan flavours. On top of that, lambs already have its distinct flavour. It is fragrant with cumin, fresh coriander and cracked pepper, served with a side salad. That makes this dish is substantially filling for a meal.

Other ala carte menu that is commonly favourite choice of most dinners are the pasta choices of which the Carbonara spaghetti also presents some effort in the dish itself. It comes with turkey ham and sautéed mushrooms, tossed in classic creamy sauce, and served with grated cheese on top. It is a pity they are not too generous with the sauce.

Round up the meal with the popular and tantalizing slice of cake at RM 11. Sweet tooth and dessert lover must not missed this for the Caramel Chocolate Banana cake is amazingly divine. I’ve already concluded my verdict for best combination of ingredient to be banana and chocolate. But this topped the combination with caramel. It’s amazing aroma and sticky thick flavour blends flawlessly with chocolate and banana. Some might find the cake dulcified, so I recommend the hot beverages to go with it.

Don’t forget to go with some juice of hot beverage like the Cappuccino which sells at Rm 8. If not, then have some fresh watermelon juice at RM 10 which would be superbly perfect on a hot sunny day.

But if long breakfasts is ideally your idea to catch up with friends and enjoy some relaxing time to get away from the usual rush hour, then go for the Plan B breakfast at RM 26. Served with two eggs of any style on toast with grilled turkey bacon, a golden hash brown, smoked chicken sausage, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. It comes with fresh orange juice and a choice of coffee or tea.
