Every time I want to eat wantan mee, I would always come to this place. They have the best, smoothest and silkiest bamboo noodles. My friend ordered the Mushroom Bamboo Noodles which is my other favourite. 

The herbal tea is also not that overly sweet and just nice. 

The price of food here is also very reasonable as I only spent a little over RM 22 for 2 bowls of noodles and sui kow and drinks included. The ambience is also cooling and relaxing.

Finally I decided on this cafe which sells the most amazing Bamboo Noodles. My friend ordered the Mixed Pork Bamboo Noodles (RM 10.80). The variety of pork included roasted pork (char siew), roasted pork sausage (siew chee cheong). I ordered the mushroom bamboo noodles (RM 6.80) which came with 4 big mushrooms. All the thin bamboo noodles were so smooth and were handmade. It really was tasty and was said to be without preservative or colouring. 

We ordered a bowl of the best Sui Kow in the world for RM 8. Each sui kow was filled to the brim with a lot of filling especially crunchy prawns.

This is my first time trying bamboo noodle, ever wonder what is bamboo noodle? Don't worry, the noodle is not made of bamboo, is just that will use the bamboo to press the egg and flour and other ingredient.The noodle is very 弹牙, when i bite on it its like my teeth is fighting each other ... hahanot only 弹牙, the cha siew also taste nice. Will definitely come here again.

Things like the size of bamboo where it has to be the right diameter contributes to making good noodles, neither too hard nor soft. Having said that, the restaurant is designed in a way where they exhibit the making of the noodles inside a glass room. If you are waiting for any bamboo action, sorry to disappoint you but there are no bamboo in it. Instead, expect some shinny machines and a couple of staffs weighing the noodles.

The noodles are still great; with superior texture one would enjoy chewing it. On top of that, the meats are sufficiently tasty to warrant a return to the restaurant. The roasted and barbeque pork is nicely sliced to the right proportion and all of it done to the right texture that is not only luscious but juicy at the same time.

There are few combinations or types of porks or wanton whichever is your preference. Nippy noodle promises that all their products are made passionately and detailed. The prices range from RM 5 to 10 depending on what’s ordered.

Bamboo noodles with chicken. | The noodles are made the traditional way, using a bamboo to knead the dough mixture. It was a pity when I was there, no one was making the noodle. The noodles were springy, and it did tasted a little different from the usual one. And the chicken was smooth and tender, complimenting the noodles. There are actually a lot more variety of noodles there, but I stuck on to the safest option. But I will definitely head back there to try others. For more reviews, do visit

The noodles were springy, and it did tasted a little different from the usual one. And the chicken was smooth and tender, complimenting the noodles.

There are actually a lot more variety of noodles there, but I stuck on to the safest option. But I will definitely head back there to try others.

他们的竹升面完全是使用鸡蛋做的,因为做煮出来带点韧度,吃到嘴里非常爽脆。之后呢就是梅菜猪肉,有点像我们平时吃的那种,酥软可口的梅菜,加上新鲜的猪肉互相配搭,猪骨熬成的浓汤你会把它整碗喝完呢。这一碗梅菜猪肉竹升面是挺独特的。

那天碰巧是晚餐时间。好不容易才找到个泊车位。由于太饿了,马上点了一盘三烧竹升面。呢是指3样烧腊,这碗面有烧肉,叉烧,和腌肉肠。叉烧味道还不错。但是给我的全部都是瘦肉,我觉得应该要参一些肥的才好吃。至于肉肠还可以,味道不错。

Nippy Noodles Restaurant is a restaurant selling Wan Tan Mee wit alot various of ingredients and also side dished to choose from. Its located in Kuchai Lama with air-conditioned furnished and woody furnitures. The orice is slightly higher compare to the normal kopitiam wan tan mee due to the enviroment.Their noodles is very springy indeed. The sauce is nice and overall its a good wantan mee noodles, but i am not full by just eating 1 plate of noodles. I am a big eater!

The noodle in this restaurant are all handmade by themselves. The noodle here is very springy. They don't have the typical yellow noodle taste too. Their char siew here is honey sweet taste. They grill till the skin is crispy, and the meat is soft. Siew Yoke here, I would say not so bad after all. The skin is crispy as well. But I still prefer the char siew here more.
