Cinta Ria Cafe & Restaurant (Closed)

Ice Peach Tea. The cafe was full house during peak dining hours and the service can be a bit unattentive during these hours. The settings of this cafe was simple and cozy. Parking was a breeze during weekends. Since we were bored with the ice lemon tea, we ordered the ice peach tea instead. It was quite a sweet drink and has strong peach taste. It was a good drink for hot weather.

Mee Bandung. Cinta Ria's mee bandung consisted of beancurd, tomato, prawns, beansprouts, vegetables, hard boiled egg and spring onions. The mee bandung broth was a thick one and it does has the right taste of mee bandung broth. However, it was a little salty for me. The ingredients were a lot. The prawns were small size but it was fresh. Overall, it was a good mee bandung.

Roasted Tuna Sandwich. Since it was tea time and I don't feel like having something heavy, I ordered the roasted tuna sandwich. This made a good tea break while chatting with my friends. The bread was toasted and in it was roasted tuna and some carrot slices. It was very delicious although the ingredients were simply. The sandwich was flavourful and not too salty.

Prawn Mee. Apart from their delicious nasi lemak, roast chicken and lasagna, Cinta Ria does offer some Asian dishes. This prawn mee is one of them. The prawn mee has chicken slices, prawns and vegetables. The prawn mee has strong prawn mee taste, which was good. The prawn mee broth was thick and not too salty. It was slightly spicy. The prawns were fresh. A good bowl of prawn mee.

Ice Lemon Tea. The parking is quite ample during weekends. The restaurant has a simple setup and brightly lit. The service was a bit slow and not attentive during lunch hours. During a very hot weather, ice lemon tea would make a good companion. The ice lemon tea was filled with right amount of ice and one slice of lemon. It has strong tea taste with a hint of lemon. Sweet with a little bit sour.

Teh Tarik. Cinta Ria Cafe has been around the area for very long time. Now they have this tea break promotion form 3pm to 6pm, which is really value for money. Together with the nasi lemak, they also included the tea tarik also. The taste was not as strong as the teh tarik served in mamak stalls but it was not diluted either. The tea taste was there together with some milk. Not too sweet.

Cincau.The weather was really hot that day and cincau ice is the best way to cool down the temperature. Thr drink is easy to be prepared, by just addeding the cincau with water. The cincau was shredded into thin pieces and the texture was like jelly. It tasted bitter by itself, but overall the butterness was diluted by the water and made it slightly sweeter to be drank,

Nasi Lemak with chicken rendang. The nasi lemak came with a chicken rendang drumstick, hard boiled egg, acar, sambal, cucumber, achovies and nut. The rice was very fragrant with santan flavour. The drumstick was fully covered with the rendang gravy. The gravy was thick, spicy and full of herbs taste. The acar was slightly sour. The sambal was spicy as usual.

Roast chicken drumstick. Cinta Ria is a casual cafe that serves decent food. The roast chicken came with mashed potato and coleslaw. The chicken were nicely roasted with rosemarry herbs. It was moist and soft. The skin was fragrant. Together with the brown sauce, the saltiness level was just nice. The mashed potato was quite solid in texture, while the coleslaw was sweet.

The chicken lasagna was served with a scoop of mashed potato and garden salad. The lasagna was flooded with brown mushroom sauce that added some sweetness to it. The lagsana texture was soft and the melted cheese on top was salty. In it, there were minced chicken meat and some herbs. Overall combination tasted very good. This is an above average chicken lasagna for non-beef eater.

The nasi lemak was served with sambal, cucumber slices, hard boiled egg, peanuts and acar. The acar was made of cabbage, carrot and long beans with some peanut sauce. This acar was really tasty, sourish in a good way. The peanuts were crunchy. The rice was very fragrant with santan (coconut milk). The sambal was thick and has some onions in it. It was slightly spicy and sweet at the same time.

One of the better dishes here is the Nasi Lemak Special with ayam rendang (or it's just because I like nasi lemak?). It is one of the signature dishes at Cinta Ria. The chicken rendang is really good! Glad they provided plenty of rice as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sambal was delicious too but I didn't take much of it as it was pretty spicy. I think it was RM 7.90 which is alright for the portion.

This plate of seafood pasta with pesto sauce was RM 15.90. We suspect the spaghetti is handmade as it is a little different, more compact and filling. It also tastes slightly different. Dish comes with 5 big prawns and lots of mushrooms. I liked basil so I found it tasty but my friend did not share my opinion. The combination of ingredients in the sauce was pretty fragrant and went well with the shrooms.

Trying to order something less Westernized, we opted for the Mihun Goreng Siam which I usually love for it's sour and spicy taste. The portion was quite big and it was below RM 10. Actually, it's pretty cheap from morning markets or hawker stalls. There were a lot of ingredients (one big prawn) inside but mostly vegetables. Tastes like a regular mihun goreng Siam. Not too spicy.

This is a quiet little restaurant near Atria (Atria is no longer there). Got ourselves a plate of carbonara pasta with bacon which was about RM 15+ or 16+? I admit the presentation looked a bit strange with the flooded plate. There was so much of the sauce which is more watery than usual but it didn't taste bland. The bacon was really fragrant and added a salty smoky taste to the pasta.
